From the moment I arrived, I was truly impressed with the hotel. My room was fantastic, and the housekeeping and janitorial teams did an excellent job keeping everything clean and well maintained. I loved the building, décor, style, and overall atmosphere. Everything was thoughtfully designed, and I didn’t experience a single issue during my stay. The front desk and 24-hour door staff were extremely helpful, courteous, and welcoming. They were always willing to assist and provided great recommendations that made my visit even better. I was especially impressed with how technologically advanced the hotel was. I absolutely loved the tech keypad and the ability to control different features in the room—it added such a convenient and modern touch to the experience. Overall, Canopy by Hilton Toronto Yorkville met my expectations.

The incorporation of technology into the rooms is fantastic. I really enjoyed the flexibility to control various fixtures and the curtains from multiple locations throughout the room. The sliding barn door helps to minimize the amount of noise that comes from the outside hallway. That was a great idea and I am glad to see the amount of thought that went into planning the room layout.

I would mention, three very minor issues during my stay. The first involves the bathroom sink faucet. The angle of the water being discharged is such that it hits a portion of the drain plug which causes water to splash out onto the counter of the sink. The second item is how to use the technology to indicate that you would like the room to be freshened up. In the interest of full disclosure, this is very likely user error. When you want to request service, it seems as if you need to place the service sign on the door and have to select the service button on the control panel inside the room. The final item is the weak internet security protocols uitilized for the complimentary WiFi offered. There have been recent stories in the news that unsecured WiFi networks in public places are being increasingly targeted by hackers. I avoided connecting to it whenever possible due to the lack of enhanced security protocols.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The property is beautiful, modern, and feels brand new. The staff provided exceptional service and made us feel welcome from check-in to check-out. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

the room was a little small

Staff were very nice. Location was good.

The bed was ok however it was difficult getting comfortable watching tv, pillows were were too bulky. Room was too small especially the bathroom. Everything felt too small and cramped. The water station in the hallway was broken, so you had to walk to the other side to get water to drink. We had little privacy since our room faced the hallway so you had to keep the blackout curtasin closed. The electrical controls for lights were difficutl to see. Our hallway was hot and gloomy.
