    My husband and I had a pleasant 5-night stay at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Sapporo-Susukino and were able to get a good night’s sleep throughout our trip. The room we booked was relatively small, which is quite common in Japan, but it was thoughtfully designed. There was storage space underneath the bed, which helped keep our luggage and belongings organized. We also requested daily room cleaning, and while it was generally handled well, the cleaning on our last night was not as consistent as it had been earlier in our stay. The bathroom was comfortable to use and had a Japanese bidet, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. The location is one of the hotel’s biggest strengths. There’s a subway station right in front of the property, along with several convenience stores nearby, making it easy to get around and grab anything you need. It’s also just a short walk (around 3-5 minutes) to the Airport Limousine Bus stop, which was incredibly convenient on our departure day. We were able to avoid dragging our large suitcases through busy train stations and up and down multiple flights of stairs. The breakfast was delicious, and we especially enjoyed that it included ice cream. However, if you’re staying for several days, it’s worth noting that there was very little variation in the menu—it was essentially the same selection every morning. One small disappointment was our experience on our last day. Before leaving for the airport bus, I asked the restaurant staff if I could have some water, but my request was declined. This is just a personal observation and may not matter to everyone, but it did leave a slight negative impression. Overall, we genuinely enjoyed our stay at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Sapporo-Susukino and have no regrets choosing this hotel. Lastly, Hokkaido is absolutely beautiful and is a destination that’s well worth visiting more than once.
