Condescending and unprofessional host

It was located in the center.

TL;DR: Room wasn’t ready at check-in, dirty sheets and trash left from previous guests, no toilet paper, host ignored messages, then scolded us for calling Booking. No apology, just dismissive and condescending. Truly disappointing, stay somewhere else. - We arrived early in Albenga and asked the host if we could drop off our bags, they said no, which was fine. The host knew we were already nearby, but by 3 PM (official check-in time), we had received no instructions. We rang the bell, no answer. Only after we messaged did they send the check-in details. Picture this, when we entered the room, it hadn't even been cleaned: dirty sheets, used towels, trash still there. Absolutely unacceptable, I've never walked into a room in this state. We found the cleaning lady, who asked us to come back in 15 minutes. There wasn’t even toilet paper, yet we were told we could use the bathroom. We messaged the host, no response. Sitting in the piazza, while they clean, we called Booking.com. They reached out to the host, who apparently promised the rest of our stay would go smoothly. After 4 PM, the host finally messaged us that the room was ready. Instead of apologizing, they criticized us for calling Booking, saying it “wasn’t a necessary or a big deal” and we were “on holiday,” so if the room wasn’t ready we could just wait. As if wasting our time, ignoring our messages, and not having the room we were paying for ready, was nothing. The room itself was okay. Basic. The wardrobe was falling apart, apparently it’s been broken for a while, check the other reviews, and especially how they replies to anything less than positive. Photos here show the way we received the room. A simple apology would have gone a long way, but instead they chose to be dismissive and condescending. This host does not meet basic hospitality standards Truly disappointing experience. I’d recommend you stay somewhere else.

Unhelpful management. No help provided for parking and failure to advise re nearby parking, but staff obviously not interested enough to assist despite frequent advance requests.

Superb

The host is absolutely lovely and cares much about the visitors. Like a typical italian mama she served us a big classical italian breakfast. We have eaten enough for the whole day. The rooms are lovely and perfectly equiped. The hotel is located in the middle of the old town of alebenga and has plenty of bars and restaurants around it. It was perfect.

Location as a base to explore Albenga Very nice people

- WiFi is not that strong. Needs improvement - Depends on the type of person/ traveler you are: the building is located at the most lively square (live music, dj’s, etc) of the city center. If you want a quiet evening/ night: choose or another option or opt for room 1 (situated at the more quiet side of the building) Are you into music and long evenings/ nights: this might be your pick… - Although the building and it’s interior looks very nice, the bed doesn’t match with that first impression. (You could feel the springs in your back at night) Just to be clear: not a reason for us not to come again. But, these topics should be fixed/ known in advance before you book.

Very central, the room is big and well maintained, bathrooom just remodeled.

it is very noisy due to the fact there are several pubs and restaurants and even if the propery provided earplugs the noise was still pretty loud.

Great location in the middle of the beautiful old center. The rooms are very nice and clean. The hostess Simone was very friendly and helpfull and made us feel very welcome our whole stay! You can have a nice breakfast in the two bars in front of the rooms. I would definitly recommed this place!

2 of the 3 rooms were located next to a busy square with some noise and music in the evening. I think that's part of staying in the middle of the center. So for us, this was no problem at all. But if you are looking for a more quite place, you can ask for room number 1.

Povera Lisetta

La posizione molto centrale

Tutto. Partiamo dalla mancanza quasi totale di biancheria da bagno (1 solo asciugamano per tutto, forti questi liguri che evidentemente si asciugano il viso con lo stesso asciugamano del sedere, assenza di saliscendi per la doccia). Doccia minuscola. Prodotti per la pulizia della persona inesistenti seppur teoricamente previsti nel costo della prenotazione. Pulizia da rivedere assolutamente. Letto sfondato sul lato destro, peccato che il mio ragazzo me l'abbia detto solo il giorno dopo perché mi ha vista già parecchio arrabbiata per i disservizi in bagno. Angolo "colazione" con boiler incollato di polvere e altre schifezze, presente piccolo frigo completamente vuoto (zero servizio cortesia bevenuto con bottiglietta d'acqua).

La colazione non era prevista. Posizione nel centro di Albenga, comoda. Facile l'accesso alla struttura, con un messaggio molto chiaro su WhatsApp.

Non mi è piaciuto non trovare nemmeno una bottiglietta d'acqua nel frigo bar...Al limite le addebiti...!!! Molto rumorosa la posizione, fin verso l'una di notte.

Bella camera in centro ad Albenga

Struttura centralissima ad Albenga, a 5 minuti da parcheggi sia gratis che a pagamento, letto comodo, bagno nuovo e aria condizionata. Sapone e shampoo a disposizione (anche se quasi finiti) e un asciugamano a testa. Ci è stato concesso di portare i nostri 2 cani con un sovrapprezzo di 25€ per le pulizie. Contatti con il proprietario smart.

Appena arrivati in stanza ho trovato polvere sotto il letto e i comodini e lenzuola con alcuni peli. L’ultimo giorno mi sono accorto di una lametta per depilarsi rimasta appesa in doccia dal precedente soggiorno.

Nella camera l’armadio era distrutto, lo staff era informato ma la proprietaria non si era ancora attivata. La biancheria del letto sporca, abbiamo reclamato ma non c’era personale disponibile per cambiarla.

La posizione era ottima in centro ad Albenga vicino a locali ed alle principali attrazioni. La pulizia della stanza e del bagno impeccabile. I titolari cordiali e disponibili. Abbiamo dimenticato una giacca in struttura e si sono resi disponibili per la spedizione. Grazie!

Purtroppo abbiamo riscontrato dei problemi con la struttura del letto che abbiamo dovuto risolvere noi pur contattando il gestore. L'armadio della camera inutilizzabile perché rotto. Accoglienza assente. Posizione ottima, ma rumorosa il fine settimana.

Très proche du centre ville

Très proche du centre-ville, à 2 pas du Duomo, restaurants, etc.. chambre spacieuse.

Il y avait beaucoup de bruit de la piazza sous la fenêtre (au moins 3 restaurants avec de la musique à plein volume), même avec les fenêtres fermées. Il y avait un appareil pour la climatisation, mais pas de moyen de l'utiliser. On était dans la chambre 2. Heureusement, tout s'est calmé juste après 22.00 (le jeudi). La porte de la salle de bains (une vielle porte à deux battants) ne se fermait pas bien. Le lit n'était pas confortable - trop de matelasses sur un vieux sommier à ressorts. L'ascenseur pour les bagages n'existe plus. La literie était très basique.

centralissimo in pieno centro storico, le camere e i bagni ristrutturati da poco, la colazione ottima.

Per persone che hanno difficoltà a dormire è sconsigliatissimo: le camere sono sopra piazza delle Erbe, luogo della movida nel weekend. Noi comunque siamo riusciti a dormire!
