I don't know who categorized this as a 5 star hotel but it is definitely not. I've had very high expectations for this hotel but it was a disappointment. There is no staff in the hotel, self check in/check out, room was not cleaned well enough. Shower was wet and body hair on the floor, sink was also wet, dust on the bed frame, not vacuumed under the beds, spider webs between window and curtain, sticky night stand and so on.
Only good thing is that room is larger than most Japan's hotels. Hotel is nice from the outside but it is neglected and way overpriced.
Walking time to UNESCO village is cca 15min.
