Superb festive stay. Great hosts.

Charming House

The house has a charming quality and whilst large downstairs it is really cosy. It is a short walk to Matlock Centre which has a lovely park and plenty of restaurants.. You can walk to Abraham Heights which is a lovely afternoon out, and whilst it may seem expensive for a cable ride it includes tours and exhibitions when you get there.

Spacious house with lots of facilities

Lovely spacious house a few minutes walk into Matlock. Well equipped with excellent kitchen facilities, condiments oils etc, toiletries, games and comfy beds. Host was very helpful and quick to respond.

Just a suggestion to move the mirror in the front bedroom so it's near the plug socket.

The property was so well thought out - comfortable, clean and well decorated with everything we needed provided. The host responded immediately to any messages and was very helpful. Beautiful and convenient location.

Enjoyable week in Matlock.

Overall size of the property was good and comfortable. Ideal for walking and exploring the area. Good local pubs.

Some confusion with the bins. Stated there were 3 but could only find 2. Poor lighting in bathroom.I.E for shaving etc. Water was very slow to drain in the shower cubicle.

The house was beautiful, clean. Everything we could ever need was there. A welcome basket with a bottle, tea, coffee and biscuits. Such a lovely thought. Great communication from the owner offering early check-in and late checkout. This was greatly appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic stay, great location

Spacious but homely. We stayed there over Christmas and a Christmas tree was put up especially for us. That was a very nice touch. Together with wine and biscuits!:)

Spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable. Beautifully furnished. Welcome basket with snacks, prosecco, milk which was very appreciated. Just a 5min walk into Matlock so great location

The parking wasn't really useable but we parked ok on the road opposite. The kingsize bedroom window was very difficult to shut, the bottom hinge seems to be broken.

Great location to explore the Peak District. House was lovely, comfy bedrooms, great bathrooms, all you could want in the kitchen and a lovely outside space with beautiful views. Berni was a fab host. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic house and lovely hosts. Close to all amenities not that you need to leave if you don't want to. Perfect size house for 2 couples. Amazing weekend thank you.

The only thing missing was a blind in the top bedroom so was woken up with the sunrise.

Practically perfect in every way

Perfect host, great communication, beautiful home and amazing views. Great location with Matlock Bath 5 min drive away and a fabulous restaurant nearby (about 15 mins) called The Gates Inn, with the best GF menu I've seen to date, delicious wine, food, lovely decor.

Parking, so my husband did it 🤣 One small detail of a better frying pan could be provided (or bring your own) but everything else we used seemed new or in great condition.
