    Our first room on the 3rd floor was very hot. No windows or aircon. They did change us to one with windows and a fan that run constantly. Breakfast was ok ish, I wouldn’t call it continental though. There is a sign saying it’s having a refurb, but we saw no sign of this going on and it definitely needs it! The photos have been doctored as it definitely doesn’t look like them in real life. Toiletries consisted of shampoo only! On Saturday staff refilled the breakfast items all the time and everything was out. Sunday, the toaster wasn’t turned on, no butter, the yoghurt was not in ice, pastries tasted like yesterday’s, no cheese slices, milk was left in the carton not in jug, juice was not in the dispenser's, fresh water empty, coffee machine stopped working as it was empty and needed the coffee grouts emptying,

    I had a really pleasant stay at the Lord Nelson Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent too — just a short walk from Liverpool Lime Street Station, which made getting around really easy. On top of all that, it was great value for the price. Would happily stay again.

    Good clean basic hotel just a few steps from Liverpool Lime Street Station. I have stayed here several times and will stay here again the next time I am in Liverpool.
