The staff were so friendly and helpful. They kindly upgraded our room to a junior suite -- it was very comfortable and spacious and we had the best night's sleep! We loved that we could park under the hotel (+5 euro) and the complimentary use of their beach club pool (Dolce Vita, Marina de Grosseto) which was included in our rate was a great added extra. We would definitely return to hotel Airone if in this area again.
We understood the rooftop pool was open air, but it was indoor and quite small. I'm nitpicking here though - the beach club pool made up for it, and we had a great stay!

The room was a very good size, clean and comfortable, The breakfast was well
presented and had enough for us. The morning staff were really lovely. we felt the bikes were safe in the underground garage.
Reception was very quiet when we arrived we would
have liked to have been offered more information.

The spa-option was quite good. The room I got after being moved was good.
My reservation on Booking.com said the room would have a balcony and a city view, and it had neither. Instead it was enclosed at the bottom of three walls outside the window, which really became a problem when the air-system did not work and I got the feeling of beeing choked in the room. Luckily, the receptionist understood the problem and assigned a new room in the end. So she was helpful. But I would avoid room 107...
