The breakfast was very good. There was a good choice of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, cakes, pastries and eggs and bacon. The coffee was also very good.
There was also free and abundant parking.
The resturant on the first night ws good value and the waiters very attentive. We sampled the olive oil from the Granduca olice grove and excellent local red wine recommended by the waiter.
Our rooms were on the ground floor and very dated. My two firneds requested to move rooms as one had ants in her room and the other found black mould in the bathroom. they were moved to rooms on the first floor which were more modern and had recently been refurbished.
On the last night my firends had dinner in the resturant which they said was inedible. The salad had rotting leaves in it and had to be sent back.
Also, we learned that in order to use the spa and pool (part of the reason had booked this hotel) we had to pay E20 each time we wanted to use the facilities. I imagined that as guests of the hotel the use of the pool and psa would be included. Also the location of the hotel is about 30 minutes walk from the centre and 15 minutes by car to the beach at Lido di Grosseto. You definitely need a car if you plan to stay at this place.
