Pleasant and quiet stay. I slept great and wasn't bothered. And even with breakfast!

The breakfast was great. Overall value for money is great. There was new furniture in the room, view to the quiet yard with trees was calm and nice. Central heating made it very cozy in winter. The room was cleaned and towels were replaced every day.

Some bathroom equipment was really tired. It was hard to close doors in the shower, but it didn't spoil the whole experience at all. There are almost no amenities in the room - no kettle, no slippers, no complimentary water. Just one glass. There is a public bathroom style soap dispenser in the bathroom instead of the usual shampoo and mini-soap sets. But since it wasn't my first stay, I just brought my own. I think it's a fair trade for all the positives they provide for the affordable price.

Great, great location, close to transport which in Belgrade is free, very warm room, quiet at night.

Breakfast could have more options or daily alternatives. The guests, in order to enter the hotel must pass through the parking which was full with cars and there was a little space between cars, so you’d have to squeeze yourself between them in order to pass. The room could use some small renovations.

Great value for the money, wonderful option for stay.

Hotel Rex has the best value for the money among hotels in central part of Belgrade. With very good breakfast, comfortable, airconditioned and bright rooms, if they continue to charge reasonably, this hotel will remain one of the most popular option for short or longer stay in Serbian capital. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel and public transportation is free of charge. So one can either walk 20 min to the main pedestrian zone and other most relevant places of interest, or to use public bus to reach the upper, older part of the city. Hotel is just few minutes away from Sava River promenade with many restaurants and night clubs. Many restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, pharmacies and new shopping mall are very close to the hotel, too. For those who need one of many embassies, ministeries, specialized and handcrafts shops or even major hospitals, hotel Rex is the perfect solution for accommodation since everything one might need, it can be found also in the very same neighbourhood. Hotel staff are professional and kind. If guests have to leave the hotel very early in the morning, receptionist should be inforned and guests will be given take-away breakfast, which includes delicious sandwich and fruits. It's very nice gesture from the management which I much appreciated. If this hotel continues to charge reasonably and if they have room available for period I need, I will always book this hotel in Belgrade for my future stays and I would warmly recommend this hotel for those who need safe location, spacious room and for those who appeciate generous breakfast and kind staff.

This hotel is excellent option for accommodation in central part of Belgrade with great value for money. The only thing that management could consider is to upgrade bathroom showers and faucets within the shower. Its quite oldfashion.

Good stay for a few days

Near the city center, there was a stop right in front of the hotel, small parking, but we had luck to find a spot, nice and friendly staff, room good enough, it was warm in the room, comfy bed

I booked a room for my friend. I came to pay in advance, but unfortunately, I was refused: payment is only accepted on the day/evening of arrival in the presence of the guest. Well, okay. My friend's flight was delayed, and she arrived three hours later (not at midnight, but at 4 a.m.). The manager did not want to check her into the room because it had not been paid for. Also, the breakfast was not very tasty.

A dubious experience

Comfortable large bed, no mold or unpleasant odor, customer-oriented reception staff, a pretty good breakfast buffet.

The double-glazed windows in the hotel room have a lock only at the bottom of the frame, which leaves a gap at the top through which cold air enters. In the mornings, there may be no hot or even warm water in the shower, and the showerhead itself sprays water in all directions. Shampoo is not provided among the toiletries. The safe in the room is of the cheapest type and offers only an illusion of security, as the service code has never been changed and can be opened by absolutely anyone simply by entering the same digit six times. (It is actually safer to keep personal belongings in your own suitcase with a combination lock.) There was also an unpleasant incident: when I was out of the room for the entire day, I returned in the evening to find a full set of room keys left in my door. This means that during my absence, absolutely anyone could have entered the room and done whatever they wished, as all the keys were available to them.

The location, near the center, is ok. I decided on this hotel because of the parking spot.

The staff were nice. But the whole hotel had a cigarette smell. The room was clean, but really damaged. For example, the shower cabin had a broken door, impossible to close it, or rather not touch it.... even other equipment was "rather" not touch it. Breakfast was poor, coffee not drinkable, cheap plastic glasses for juice,....

Good points and not-so-good points.

The reception team varied from helpful and polite to indifferent. One lady helped me considerably with a public transport itinerary to get me to Belgrade Main Bus Station, but one middle-aged man completely ignored my request for information about trams, and dealt with someone else. The room was spacious and the bedding comfortable.

As above. The room had an antiquated yellowed white wall-mounted air conditioning unit, the noise of which was intrusive. Hotels have been given a 2-star rating on the basis of such units in the rooms. In the bathroom the wash basin was not secured to the wall and the toilet seat was not properly fixed. The wall bracket for clip for the shower had come away, but when I mentioned this it was promptly fixed. The room was described as having a view of a garden. The view was in fact of an alley covered in ivy.

Very old furniture. Dirty walls, noisy room. Summer is very hot in the room and the air conditioner is extremely dirty inside - pure pneumonia! You can't sleep with open window because of the noise from the street. The refrigerator is dirty and moldy. The smell in the bathroom is like in a public toilet. Mold in the shower cabbin and rusty appliances. Mediocre breakfast, better without.

The location was good. Good places to eat, drink and watch sports for those who like. Breakfast was not as I expected, but it was ok. The room was ok, not fancy and not too bad either.

The bathroom. There was some dust in the ventilation, and low count of toilet paper. The AC outside was to noisy sometimes as well.

Pretty good for a quick stay!

Good price for the location of the hotel and fills its purpose for someone on a business trip/transit and alike! Close to the city center so good for errands.

There was no warn water the first evening, and half of the shower door was missing. The other half kind of hanged there in an awkward way, as if it might slide out if one tried to pull it a bit to close in the shower. Nothing that bothered me that much as it was rather warm, but it would not be fun times if it was winter!

Disappointing

The room was big and the hotel was nearby a bus station.

The room was far from clean. The floor was dirty, the bed sheets and towels had hair on them and a terrible odor. The bathroom also had a foul smell, and there was visible mold around the shower cabin. The trash bin had no liner, so you had to throw waste directly into it. Breakfast was very disappointing, with limited options, and even the coffee was of poor quality. The pillows were uncomfortable, and the bed creaked every time we moved. This hotel does not deserve its 3-star rating; at best, it should be rated 2 stars.

Indeed, it did not meet expectations, causing disappointment, considering the amount of money paid.

There are no disposable toothpaste and toothbrushes available, just two empty glasses. No mini-bar, just a empty refrigerator. Even no electric kettle, so I have to buy water by myself outside the hotel, which makes me always thirsty. The shower nozzle cannot be effectively fixed, which can cause trouble every time it is used. The squeezing device of the shower gel is broken and needs to be repaired. My reservation clearly showed a check-out time of no later than 12 noon, but the cleaning staff asked me to leave early in the morning. Before I went to have breakfast, I kindly told her not to clean up and that I would stay until noon before leaving. However, when I returned from breakfast, I found that my room had been cleaned up and all my items in the room had been packed and taken away by the cleaning staff without my consent. Additionally, I went to the reception to check out, but the reception did not charge me according to the amount displayed on the booking for my order. Instead, they chose to charge me more at a higher third-party exchange rate, even though the booking website had already calculated the final price based on the exchange rate. Since you use the booking platform to attract customers, why don't you follow the rules on booking to trade？

Back to the usual place

We had a very spacious room with a very comfortable bed. The hotel has a good restaurant, breakfast was good and a'la carte dining is available. The staff is always very nice and friendly. They always find us a carpark even when it is difficult, this flexibility is what I like in the Balkans very much. We like coming here every year for a stopover on the way to Montenegro, the place is good value for money.

The position - is almos 1,5 km away from the center. The rooms were cleaned and the breakfast fair..i would say it's a good value for the money.

In the first night we have arrived ( after midnight the employee from the reception couldn't find our reservations and we have waited although we have showed the confirmation from booking. In rest, as said is ok for budget friendly hotel

A good hotel with a fine location that allows you to explore the city without any problems. There are a few bus stops close to the hotel. The breakfast is good, and you will probably find something that suits you. They offer daily cleaning service.

The hotel is quite old, and some of the furnishings are old too. It would be useful to replace the shower cabins with new ones or perform similar updates. The shower is okay, but there is definitely room for improvement.

The worst hotel in Belgrade

Rude staff and extremely unhelpful No cloakroom. If you need to leave tour baggage bécause you are leaving the hotel but checking in one day later as It happened to me, they Will leave your baggage in the lobby far from the reception where anyone can take it.

The rudeness of these people is beyond belief. Some of then look like absolute thugs. I strongly recommend a basic course in customer service.i doubt they even know what that means.

Extremely rude and aggressive staff. They even go to the extent of saying things, like you look drunk, when I don't even drink. Or Shout things like, what is your problem? Area looks quite rough AC does nor work properly. Room was hot and stuffy

Never again

There was literally nothing to like about the place: the bathroom was dirty and with quite some rust. Since there were no fly screens one became prey to armies of mosquitoes. The staff was unfriendly, the breakfast inedible.

Perfect location for exploring Belgrade, easy access via public transport to BG centre train station and airport

We love the location, easy to get to any part of Belgrade by public transport with bus stops all within 5 minutes walk. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, air conditioning efficient. Good buffet breakfast either plenty of variety and tasty food in restaurant

Our TV did not work, however WiFi was fine for our devices so hopefully next time they would have fixed problems with cable TV

The breakfast was good - felt very local wich i liked. Very easy, not much to choose from - but it made you full. It is nice that the hotel has its own restaurant aswell, for eating and drinks. The location is good if youre looking for a calm area, close to supermarkets and in walking distance from all tourist things. Good with 24h reception.

The bathroom wasnt superclean; the toiletseat was loose from the toilet, the shower wouldnt stay in its holder. The whole hotel smelled like cigarettes. The AC in the room didnt work and the room smelled a bit like wet dog and cigarettes.

Me and my husband have stayed in this hotel for several times. This time we found the hotel renovated and well cleaned. It was very cozy, comfortable bed, better colors of the walls :-) , clean sheets and towels. A lot of tv programs. Everybody are very polite, nice and helpful. You can pay in euros, no need to exchange money which was great. Breakfast is ok. No too many dishes, but it was quite enough. The gibanica is must :-) and proja and that fabulous cake with apples. If you like to drink coffee it is better to order it, it is not expensive at all. The hotels has great location and if you travel by car they have free parking which is a huge plus. The water is drinkable :-)

It was very very hot in the room. The air condition worked well although was very old. It was cleaned (it had that chemical smell) but it is on bad position. It blows directly to the bed. The windows are older and metal and get hot very easily. The refrigerator was very noisy. The tv frozen now and then showing only blue picture. However, none of these is minus to this hotel!

Room was large. Had everything I needed. Easy to get places using the city buses. And walking distance from the main bus station.

My room had a bad smell like body odor. I opened windows to let the smell out. I thought that did it. But next day it was worse. Thankfully they were able to change the room for me. The 2nd room was perfect.
