Clean & quiet hotel that's close to transportation & stores

Friend and I stayed at the Arthaus in late February to enjoy some Swiss skiing. The location is close to the bus stop, stores, and the train station, though there's about a 30m elevation difference with the latter. We had a room on the top floor with a balcony and a couple of twin beds. The room, and hotel itself, was nice and quiet and very clean. We were treated to some welcome prosecco and had breakfast there for the 5 days we stayed, which was great. Anika was fantastic and answered all of my questions, before and during our stay. It was a very enjoyable trip and I have no hesitations recommending the Arthaus, though keep in mind that you do need to have reasonable mobility because I didn't notice wheelchair access and climbing some stairs is required. Friend suggested it would have been nice if the room had a small fridge, but this was not in the room description.

Perfect for someone that wants to ski a few days in Davos.

Overall, the hotel provided just what I was looking for without breaking the bank. The location is great--close to Jakobshorn lift, a block from the bus stop, and there's a grocery a block away where you can get pretty much anything you need. The room was cozy, modern, and clean. The ski room is very functional. The service was exceptional, and the breakfast was just what i needed, nothing too fancy.

Just a warning that if you arriving from the train station, there is a 100ft elevation gain to the hotel. I had a large suitcase and ski bag, so it was quite an effort.

Beautiful, artsy & central.

Wonderful little hotel in the heart of town. Beautiful interior, very thoughtfully and meticulously decorated. Loved the focus on quality of service and the rather aesthetically pleasing attention to detail. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Had a great second time. Would love to stay here again!

Decent hotel in good location

Though the room was rather small, it was modern and well-organized. Personnel was friendly enough. Good location for skiing and winter hiking. Close to the train station, shops and restaurants. Biggest downside was breakfast. Limited range of products and cramped space.

The hotel is well situated, not far from Jakobshornbahn and an easy 10 min bus ride from the Parsennbahn. By Jakoshornbahn is also the train station where a free (and very comfortable) train will take you in your ski gear through a beautiful valley to Klosters. Breakfast was a straightforward buffet but at a high standard comprising (from memory) a good coffee machine (Jura), croissants, breads, cheeses, eggs (pre-boiled or self-boil), fruit juice. The restaurant is limited to a single option – a fondue chinoise – which was nice but we felt a bit overpriced for what it was. There are many restaurants in Davos Platz a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The hotel has a decent selection of wines. Rooms are comfortable but quite small. We were perfectly happy but a bit more space would have been nice. Overall we were very happy with our stay. The staff were very friendly and the young lady manning the hotel during our stay was exceptional in her manner, attitude, efficiency and ability to help.

Very welcoming and accomodating staff; great location close to public transport, restaurants, shops and cable cars; modern and clean rooms, huge smart TV in front of bed; excellent breakfast. Overall, great value for money.

No lift so difficult if traveling with large luggage.

A pleasant stay

A clean and welcoming hotel with a personal touch from the owners throughout. I especially enjoyed the comfy bed and the heavy fluffy blanket - I slept like a baby both nights we stayed there. The breakfast was fresh and very enjoyable, delicious coffee. The congress center is 3 bus stops (6min) away, the bus stop is just 100m down the street from the hotel. All in all, a very good experience. 👌

We drove 4,5h to Davos and experienced some unexpected delays on the way, which led us to arrive after 10pm. Even though we informed the hotel beforehand, we had to pay a 50chf "late check-in fee". I've never experienced that in other hotels.

Located 5mins walk from mainstaition, view from your bed to the lifts and slopes give you an idea about the weather on the slopes, super clean, 5* room and bed, very friendly owners, healthy breakfast.

Will not appeal to those dreaming mile-long breakfast buffets loaded with tons of fat, sugar, grease, cream and salmon.

Good breakfast availble. Cozy room with small balcony. Great location at the heart of Davos within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the lifts. We liked our stay very much.

A very well situated boutique like hotel in Davos with friendly staff, but fairly pricy considering facilities and servi

Very friendly and accommodating staff, location was really good next to train station (in case you wanted to arrive by train), adjacent to one of the two main Davos ski lifts (5mins walk), with walkable access to many shops, bars and restaurants.

Room was very very small for a single occupancy with a strictly single bed. I would rate breakfast as very basic without any cooked food other than the option to boil your eggs (options included cheese, ham, eggs to be boiled, small bowl of fruits, breads and jams, cereals, yogurts and coffee). Breakfast would have benefitted from a bread toaster, some cooked food i.e. scrambled eggs and bacon, and finally some better options of local cakes or Swiss delicacies. Hotel only has 3 parking spaces available on the property however you get access to an indoor public parking space 5mins walk away. Also should note that the property does not benefit from a lift which could be limiting for people with mobility difficulties

A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We are in strange times due to the Carona virus, but the hotel managed the situation very well. The rooms were very clean and comfortable following recent refurbishment. We took the half board package and it proved to be a very good decision. The meals were of a very high standard and it would have been very difficult to match the quality and value in local restaurants. The hotel is conveniently situated for the ski lifts. The Jacobshorn cable car is about 400m away and the bus stop to the Parsenn ski area is less than 100m away. Finally, another feature of the hotel are the beautiful original paintings that adorn all the public areas. The owner is a highly talented artist and his works light up the hotel. All in all we got four star quality for three star prices!

Cosy hotel with 5 star service

Room was sparkling clean and bed was super comfortable. From the guy who checked us in to the lady at breakfast, they made us felt welcomed throughout and was always ready to help and answer our questions in a very warm manner.

5 min walk from the slopes, but still away from the main street, so very calm and quiet.

Everything was great except that the service in the Restaurant was very slow. One dinner took me two hours. So if you're travelling alone it can be quite boring.

The staff was very kind. I strongly recommend booking a half board option, as the food was amazing. Definitely my favourite one in Davos so far, for sure will come back!
