Great stay for a weekend in Davos

close to Davos Platz station, friendly staff, good breakfast

the elevator was not working through the entire 3 days of my stay, I wonder if something like this could be fixed faster. This is something the hotel should inform about in advance so that arrangements can be made; you cannot know if there are guests who really need an elevator (eg pregnant or elderly, leg pains) and for them it‘s not too much fun to climb up the stairs and the fact that someone carries your luggage will not help much.

Ski area is fine, Morosani hotel is a stretch at 4 stars.

Large terraine to explore. Skiing all the way to Klosters was fun. Long cruising runs and some steeps to keep it varied. Lots of side runs along the valley to keep it fresh. Keeps you busy for the week.

The crowds at the choke points was tiring. The funicular at Parsennebahn created a long wait in the morning. The one trail back to Davos to mid station was also a choke point. If you planned when you left the mountain by delaying at the top it was much better.

Very nice hotel

The hotel has a nice alpine chic decor and the location is super central. This was the place to be in Davos. A standout staff member was the maître de service who went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time.

The staff was a bit under par with two notable mentions going to the reception team who booked me into a restaurant where dogs were explicitly forbidden although we had talked several times about me being there with my dog. Another part was the service team at breakfast who answered my question as to where I should sit with "I don't care", which seemed a bit rude. Also, the bathrooms are tiny in some rooms. My shoulders would touch the walls and the shower when seated on the toilet. The major negative point was more to the city of Davos who proclaimed that fireworks were forbidden, which is the reason why I (and many other dog owners) travelled there for new year for the promise of a fireworks free celebration. The city hung up banners declaring the fireworks ban, but did nothing at all to enforce it or stop fireworks being set off more or less continuously till 4 am. Therefore, if you want to avoid fireworks, go to more secluded places. For dog owners, I recommend Arosa.

rooms are very small. literally impossible to move around. breakfast nice but mo veggies (strange for 4 stars)

stuff at the reception was not nice at all, which was extremely unpleasant given high prices around and during NY. at sauna my robe was taken by someone and reception charged 30 CHF for keys which were in pokets of the robe.

Worst hotel stay I've had in a long time.

Excellent breakfast and location

I stayed at the Poschiavo building. Paperthin walls and loud nightclub patrons outside my window until 4am. Then load drunken hotel guests until 530. The worst sound insulation I think I've ever experienced. Should be illegal to have a hotel with such a complete absence of sound insulation. Don't choose this building unless you plan to be at the night-club until 4am or are a very very heavy sleeper.

Superb

Breakfast and the restaurants were top notch. Breakfast was just incredible. A nice buffet and then some a la carte stuff you could order. I seldom had such a healthy, wholesome and at the same time delicious breakfast anywhere. Great nourishment for a long day of skiing. Also, the swimming pool and sauna were quite nice. I noticed a customer gave some constructive feedback and they immediately followed up on his request. He noticed something about hygiene which was really minor, but still, staff took it very seriously. In general, the staff was very attentive and courteous and still had a fresh and cool style about them. Made the stay so much more relaxed than stiff professionalism. Not to say that they were not professional, they seemed to know their stuff.

The room I had was in a rather old building. The rooms were refurbished very nicely and up to date. But it was sometimes a bit noisy when guests or staff were going about their routines. Still, I must say it was quiet at night and I slept very well.
