Perfect base to explore WW1 site.

The hotel is on the site of the WW1 Machine Gun Company Base (our grandad was there during the war) so perfect for exploring. Staff friendly though didn’t speak any English. Nice restaurant on site. Good car park.

Quite a small bedroom, no place to sit in. The bathroom had a sliding door that wasn’t flush.

Good location. Bed was comfortable. Room ok. Breakfast ok. Easy with the dog. The man dealing with it is very nice.

It was very worn. The shower small and leaking. The tap to the sink was loose. A bit confusing that there is a different name on the car park. No English.

The Opal Coast Weekend Adventure

The breakfast was basic, but we didn't leave the breakfast room hungry. The hotel was easy to find and the location was closed to the attraction we planned to visit.

The sign to the hotel was confusing. We followed the arrow on the sign and ended up driving too far. The receptionist told us afterwards the sign was meant for pedestrians, not for cars. After our mistake, they ended up putting the planters to block the driveway. We were surprised to find out that the parking for the hotel was actually in front of another business. The hotel room needs some remodeling/painting. The door was scratched up. No hair dryer in the room. No English spoken.

Good hotel for a one night stopover.

Good Clean Basic Facilities, location close to Calais for LeShuttle so ideal for a one night stopover. We were delayed getting to the hotel and we telephoned ahead and the hotel were happy to accommodate a later check in.

No tea and coffee making facilities which would have been useful to have in the morning as we had an early start.

We stayed as a one night stopover after the channel tunnel, on our way home to the south west of France, great for that, a bit too basic for any longer

A great place, good value for money, good food and great for dogs.

Everyone was very welcoming, the rooms were basic but comfortable and very clean. The restaurant was good with some great beers. We travelled with our dog and she was allowed in the restaurant and the breakfast room. We used this as a stopover after arriving in Calais and it was just perfect.

There isn’t anything we didn’t like.

We usually arrange to stay here when going to France on holiday. It is clean and comfortable and dog friendly which is important. We enjoy the breakfast and also dinner in the evening.

We have no criticism of the hotel.

A budget hotel, fine for a week-end stay and overall fair value for money.

Exactly what you would expect from a budget hotel in January. The room was warm, cosy and clean. Breakfast was fine. The place was very quiet which meant that parking was not a problem, A fifteen minute drive from the lively town of Le Touquet.

The front part of the hotel was being refurbished and looked a little dilapidated. The village was deserted in winter. Dinner selection was limited with better options in Le Touquet.

booked a room with a bath ended up with a wet room with a badly fitted floor where the water from the shower returned up to the doorframe, the 2 windows had roller blinds and the cords were hanging loose which is a no no and extremely dangerous, also quilt was very heavy too hot and no other covering option,no tea making facilities

It was alright for one night

Stayed for one night en route to the Tunnel, so for that it was the perfect location

There was a drain smell in the bathroom, I looked for the reception staff but couldn’t find one, for one night it was tolerable, would change rooms if we stayed longer……..and the room was super basic with a hard bed, so not somewhere I would stay for longer, however it suited our purpose

Comfortable and convenient, not as good as it used to be but will probably try it again

We have stayed at this hotel several times. It is convenient for the eurotunnel return. I have answered no to Q4 but we usually visit Hardelot plage and can recommend it

Always been pleased in the past but this time we were disappointed with the restuarant. It used to have a good choice but now basically burgers or pizza
