Love the newly revamped pool area and bar. Stunning view from our room (Classic Sea View). Comfortable beds. Staff are super friendly and the spa, Cove Wellness, was 5 stars!

We were given a room over the security boom with the noise becoming unbearable but concierge did move us
i was told off a few times for smoking/vaping even when in the smoking section.
the service was so irregular - some staff were amazing and others were just abysmal
i picked up E.Coli and I am pretty sure it was from the hotel as that is where i was most of the time and eating and drinking etc.
A member of staff told us that the hotel had several cases of sickness and she feared it was from the water.
All in all I will probably not return to your hotel and look for something better.

Spectacular views especially the sea-view rooms, really clean and comfy bed. Great facilities that centres around the lagoon design pool. Breakfast spread was scrumptious English-Continental style and the staff were so responsive and friendly.
To really nitpick: the pool should be warmed (even in Summer, it was uncomfortably cold), the shower pressure could be more on the high side, and the TV should be smart-app type to be able to view Netflix etc.(it is a standard DSTV package). Other than that, it was great experience

Everything was as I would expect for the price. Nice location, staff were pleasant although the tipping expectation for porters and waiting staff got a bit bothersome for a supposed "cash free" hotel - if you are going to push the "cash free" narrative then please have a modern/digital way of allowing guests to tip staff i.e. a QR code - nobody carries cash anymore!

We didn’t enjoy the buffet on Christmas Eve and my son met with the management and they asked what they could change to make our stay better and they accommodated all our requests and went out of their way for us. We had our own buffet dinners prepared by the chef’s especially for us and they were outstanding. We hosted my husband’s birthday there and they accommodated our every need. We will definitely go back there.
Nothing after the first night as they went above and beyond for us.

The staff are great and the location is perfect.
There is a generator that runs all day and night on the mountainside of the hotel, and it was a struggle to fall asleep, which has a huge effect on you the following day. It was not acceptable, and clients should be made aware of this and perhaps supplied with air plugs to combat the noise.

Very nice hotel with amazing Atlantic views. But the sun can be very hot. Crossing the street is a little difficult but Regent Road is a great place to find food. Since it’s so close, we felt safe walking back to the hotel at night. Very easy to walk to the Sea Point Promenade (and walk all the way to V&A Waterfront). Really enjoyed the breakfast, lots of food to choose from. It’s also great they had food options for those with early morning excursions.
My friend mentioned one staff member being a little rude, since we didn’t realize we had to check in for the buffet.

We were not informed on the website beforehand that the entire pool and outside restaurant, and patio areas were under construction and out of bounds. It was 28 degrees C !
The hotel also calls some rooms " ocean view rooms" when they are actually minimal, partial side view rooms.
The false advertising that the pool is available was most disappointing. We moved to a boutique hotel up the road, and it saved the holiday.

Room - on a Thursday - the housekeeping left the door open after cleaning and forgot to bring the clean hand towels and bottled water
I have been a loyal guest of the hotel 4 years, consistently visiting at the same time each year. I always request a ground-floor room due to a physical injury. While I understand that allocation is subject to availability, my booking was made well in advance on 23 April for check-in on the 10th, and I reasonably expected this request to be accommodated or be told before pymt.
It was therefore extremely disappointing to arrive and be placed in the lower-level “Cabanas,” despite my prior communication about the difficulty this causes me. I would like to acknowledge the longstanding staff who recognised me and assisted when I raised my concerns. In particular, (Bongi- the porter) advised me to approach Guest Relations, and Sibu went out of his way to rectify the matter. After I explained how the stairs would aggravate my injury, he arranged for a more suitable room (Room 017) to be cleaned and prepared. Without their intervention, my stay would have been significantly impacted.
However, my experience further deteriorated when housekeeping knocked on my door at approximately 09:40 day of departure, stating that my room showed as “checked out” and needed to be cleaned. At that moment, I was still arranging a late check-out for 12:00 or 13:00. I was then informed — very abruptly — that I had to vacate the room by 11:00 and that no late check-out, even for an hour, could be accommodated.
As a returning guest, this was distressing. The hotel appears to be prioritising increased volumes at the expense of service quality and guest retention. Longstanding customers who return year after year should not feel disregarded, especially when their needs have been consistently communicated and historically accommodated.
While I appreciate the efforts of the experienced staff who attempted to make my stay comfortable, I leave deeply aggrieved. I hope that, amid rising numbers, the importance of retaining loyal guests is not overlooked.

The staff was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful, so much so that I was supposed to receive a partial refund. In order for them to process this they kept on insisting on getting my credit card informations. Felt reluctant to hand them over, but confirmed with my bank, only to find out a day later that my credit card informations were stolen.
Overall can´t recommend this hotel, was extremely disappointed.

They were renovating so restaurant was closed with paper in windows and o wasn’t notified. They were working on the swimming pool so loud drilling and noise the whole Saturday and can’t really be at your windows because all the workers where there looking up.
I was at the restaurant and the cleaner literally came to my table bumped my table and chair on right woth her mop, mopped under my feet then went around and bumped my chair and mopped on the other side, all while I was eating. I was totally shocked.
The doorman and reception and waitress was formerly, but very bad experience!!

Booked it for only a night. I think they got me the worst room in the hotel. Straight in front of the main hall just a corridor with no doors to stop the noise from the lobby, just the door from the room. It was room 116 I think.
The hot water kettle add remaining water from previous clients and the shower didn’t had bath soap on the container. Neither the toilet add the paper saying that it was cleaned, maybe not a procedure here but normally hotels of these level have this.

Loved that the gym was accessible 24/7 but Need to rework on the gym capacity and equipments. Lack of bench press and enough weights.

The location is amazing
I booked a room with a shower, then when I got to hotel they only had tubs. I was then allocated the wheelchair friendly room and the bathroom was not as clean as my previous stay rooms. This left me uncomfortable. Also the room was allocated close to the reception areas so quite noisy

This hotel was in the perfect location. It exceed our expectations and totally worth every dollar for this room. Everyone was so helpful, so kind, and it was just an amazing experience. We will for sure come back
