Family Suite - Louvre - Clery

Centrally located and close to the Louvre.

Odd shape apartment, spiral staircase and creepy flooring. Also, there is construction right out the window, for the time we were there, it didn’t really bother us, except we didn’t open the window as much if there was no construction. No AC but the fan does help, it does feel stuffy when the windows are closed.

Wir hatten sehr viel Platz für unsere Gruppe. Es gibt drei vollwertige Schlafzimmer, das findet man nicht so oft. Eines davon hatte sogar zwei Doppelbetten. trotzdem gab es noch ein Wohnzimmer. Das Apartment ist verwinkelt gebaut, es gibt verschiedene Bereiche, die durchstufen getrennt sind. Eine schöne Altbauwohnung inklusive Dielenböden. Sehr schön! Außerdem ist die Lage fantastisch, wann läuft in 15 Minuten zum Louvre oder runter an die Seine zu Notre Dame. Das Viertel Sentier ist sehr schön. Gleich um die Ecke ist eine Fußgängerzone mit kleinen Restaurants. An der Ecke ist ein kleiner Carrefour, man konnte sich also auch optimal versorgen.

Im Moment ist eine Baustelle vor dem Gebäude und somit auch vor allen Fenstern. Da wir aber tagsüber unterwegs waren, hat uns das nicht weiter gestört. Und sowas wird ja auch nicht ewig anhalten.

The location is ok. The property/building are average. Chipped painted front blue doors. The building itself is in need of work. The view from the windows of the apartment toward the back of the unit presents filth, cigarette butts, trash, chips of paint, rat traps. Inside the apartment, the chairs were stained, the furniture is very flimsy and cheap. The carpet is old and filthy. Wallpaper was pealing in two places in one of the bedrooms. There was no laundry liquid and no drying facility other than a rack that really would do nothing but maybe hold one towel. The shower drain was clogged and water built up. It was also molding inside the drain. The floors need to be re scraped and stained.

I've reversed this...but, the location is good and convenient. I would not stay at this unit again, however. For being an historical building, it's nothing special really. And the rules are stringent to the point of a bit absurd. It's overpriced as well.
