Staying at CitizenM was an overall great experience.

The location, the hotel itself, and the staff were amazing. I absolutely loved the tablet to control everything in the room, being able to change the colors in the room to set different moods, and the feature to connect your own devices to the tv.

I would've preferred a bigger room. Our room was really small.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was very good, although the lattes were often lukewarm. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was OK, one person having to climb over the bed isn't ideal. Not really a fan of the glass toilet and shower enclosure. It was difficult to get the room warm enough.

Great hotel for a weekend getaway.

Great location, very modern, smaller room but very clean and comfortable bed. The staff was very accomodating offering and providing additional duvet due to very cold night. Good selection of buffet breakfast and great esspresso.

It was cold in the room both time I stayed with your hotel.

It is clean and has a modern feel to it.

It was cold in the room, this is my second time staying at your hotel and both times it was so cold that it was uncomfortable. Each time I set the temperature at its max of 75 degrees, even with the shade and curtain down, the air was coming through the window, making it I uncomfortable to sleep by the window.

Love the location! And sense I’m a sensory type of gal the mood lights in the room were top tier .. the lobby a whole vibe, my daughter spent a lot of time there.

Great hotel but cold rooms.

Modern, clean hotel. Great gym. Rooms small but somewhat cozy, beautiful large windows. iPad to adjust settings in the room .

The rooms are quite cold and it’s not possible to heat them more up. Me and other people were complaining that it’s too cold - they offer a second blanket at night but obviously can’t heat up the room. Thats a reason for me to not book again when I am attending an annual conference in Chicago next year again- sadly cause besides that its a great place.

I really enjoyed it and would stay there again!

The employees were super sweet, the location was great, and the rooms were really cool and very modern. As a solo traveler, the room size was perfect! And the shower was great! I also loved the iPad-controlled lights, TV, and curtains.

The noise from the hall was a little loud at times, but nothing too extreme. I would have liked some streaming options on the TV in addition to the regular channels that were offered.

the staff were excellent - when we arrived we had no baggage as airline had lost them. the girl at reception pointed us in the direction of a good value store for essentials and also an excellent restaurant for breakfast

I Didn’t feel safe there.

I liked that I was able to charge my phone just in case I had to call 911 on people snooping around the property. The manager and/or supervisor who wore a pink suit cursed very loudly & was rude.

People would sneak in the building which is a security breach.

Rooms are small, but well designed. Although there are a lot of DIY aspects to this hotel, such as for check-in or room cleaning by request only, it is also well-staffed and everyone there is a very helpful. Nice lobby/bar area with lots of different seating areas. Great outdoor deck. The location is excellent- only a block from the Riverwalk and a few short blocks to Millennium Park.

GREAT HOTEL

Location, location, location. It's walking distance from the art museum, millennium park, the lake, the riverwalk, Wildberry, State Street, and the bean. No one can get to the rooms without a key card. They have bowls, and utensils available for use. The self check in and out. The black out curtains.

The rooms are small, parking is in another building across the street and it can be confusing.

Wanted to love this hotel but this was just an OK stay

The property is great, conveniently located. CanteenM bar serves decent drinks and the lobby is comfortable enough that you can get some work done. Most of the staff was OK, some were kinda rude and some were super nice.

The AC didn’t work properly, apparently in the whole building. It wasn’t hot per se, just not cooling enough and tons of water was dripping from the AC into the floor. There was an issue where a bunch of water fell from the ceiling into the lobby and it had to be dried up. Asked about this to a guy in the lobby and his response was that it is hot outside, which is nuts, and didn’t offer any solutions to remediate the issue.

We loved our stay! Really cool hotel, great views, cool bar and lounge (indoor and outdoor). The gym was amazing for a hotel! Very modernly designed and operated rooms with an ipad for lighting, windows etc.

The rooms are pretty tight and there's little to no storage for any sizeable luggage. There is only a ~2x3' open closet outcropping behind the door. The bed was comfortable but the comforter only fit just past end to end so once we were in the bed, it was a constant struggle of who's getting the blanket pulled off.

There was nothing we didn’t like. Some people say the room is small. I found it well appointed. Loved all the usb cable plugs. Shower has instant hot water. Room was so well insulted. We heard no outside noises when we were inside the room. Breakfast looked amazing although we didn’t eat breakfast.
