Location very good , small cottage but very nice and cosy

Great location, with a gated courtyard, incredibly clean, doesn’t get much better

Amazing location. Central, yet private and quiet. Compact but more than sufficient room for everyone. Well appointed with all the facilities we needed. Handy shared outdoor space for chatting/eating just for the use of the cottages.

Although there is no dedicated parking, we actually didn't find it a problem to find somewhere to park close to the cottage, even in the height of the season. Not sure how lucky we were, but just worth keeping in mind if any of your party has mobility issues.

The property was immaculate and finished to a good quality spec.

Due to a 6 hour journey, we didn't arrive until 9pm, which by then the town was dark and quiet, as was the entrance to the row of cottages, where we did actually "fail to spot the gated courtyard", only accessible via a very dark and narrow, refuse bin lined alley! Having quickly unpacked the car, we followed the instructions and headed for the reserved parking space some way from the cottage, only to find 2 fellow guest cars had managed to take up 3 reserved parking spaces...leaving us to move more refuse bins in order to park on the edge of the patch of land clearly shared by other residents, and a local who decided it was a convenient place to urinate whilst we were attempting to park our car!!!! The parking issue however, was quickly rectified in the morning following a message to the cottage owner. Though the cottage was immaculate in finish, it is in no way fit for purpose as an advertised "2 bed cottage suitable for up to 4 guests"! Our double room was so small, the small double bed was pushed up against the wall, with no other furniture aside from a wall mounted hanging rail, a small shelving unit and a shoe rack! The opposite bedroom was slightly larger and housed 2 single beds...which we had to use over our 3 night stay. The shower room and toilet was downstairs off the tiny lounge/kitchen/dining area, but was warm and current. It all seemed very "wrong"...too many beds and in unsuitable rooms; only seating for 2/3 guests in the tiny lounge area, yet a dining table with 6 chairs was crammed in to the corner! All in all, very disappointing, not fit for purpose nor as promoted, therefore not value for money.
