Wonderful place for a family vacation

A beautiful and well-equipped lodge in a stunning location. It was decorated very nicely with a Christmas tree.

We really enjoyed everything! Perhaps adding a coffee machine and a grill on the porch could make it even better.

Beautiful Lakeside Lodge and lovely host

We loved where Lakeside Lodge was placed, the space inside was amazing especially for two young kids. Sharon was amazing and really helpful with communications about our booking. Sending info about the Lodge and other info.. All the toys, games and books which was great for us and the kids! Sharon went the extra mile with our little treats Thank you :). Loved being able to walk into the woods to see the wish tree, grufalo, bears and mud kitchen. Then literally just down the path into the new forest to see the ponies/cows. (My fave bit! Along with prosecco! And being close to the lake with ducks and water Lillys sitting on the decking!) Outside the lodge we had wonderful little visitors of the ducks that the children loved for the three days we stayed and spotting the fish! Really enjoyed our space, comfortable, clean, and spacious. Embers restaurant pizza were really tasty and the service was second to none. Very sweet waitress who couldn't do more for us. Pudding was lush too!

The resort themselves were lacking in finesse compared to Sharons wonderful lakeside lodge.. She set the bar very high! We sadly discovered that Embers restaurant was quite tired, torn seats, and sticky tables, cobwebs across the seating and dirty sticky coins stuck to the inside of the building (our 5 yr old found it! Thought he was lucky!). The food and service were great though.! The bar person/ waisteress was very good. We did sadly discover they only served pizza on a weds, the resort could have made that clear on advertising . The times for different foods e.g. fish and chip van or street food stall too late to take advantage of with small children but am sure they would have been lovely for older children or couples. The kiddos really wanted coisants and saw the fresh bread in the main resort shop but it was stale and were told they only arrived on check in day, that was the previous day. We also found that to have loud music playing late in the evening from the bar was a surprise with no prior warning from the resort as well.

The only thing we could fault was the navy blue bath towels that were so fluffy, they left a trail of dark blue fluff everywhere

Beautiful lodge in a beautiful tranquil setting

A lovely modern lodge with everything you could need for your stay. There was nothing that we were missing for our stay - everything had been thought about and ready for you, should you need it. The owner, Sharon, is very informative and friendly. The site itself is in a lovely part of the countryside, and the lodge very tranquil. We used it as a base but did eat one night in the site restaurant which was tasty and reasonable value, and the kids had plenty to entertain them.

The lodge was excellent, a great view with a pond, trees, ducks, and birds. It was quiet and very clean. It had everything that we needed for a lovely week-end, even our dog Toby felt at home. A beautiful home all round.

A home away from home

This lodge is a home away from home and as beautiful as the pictures. As a family of 4 with 2 young kids a hotel didn't appeal to us and this lodge ticked all our boxes. Great play park and trampolines for the kids. Gorgeous walks and only a short bus journey to Paultons park (approx 15mins) Sharon was very helpful before and during our trip with information. There was even a small toy drawer which the kids loved, a padlock for the gate to make it secure for the kids. The staff at Greenhill Farm were lovely and even accommodated us getting a Tesco food delivery to the lodge which was great. There is an onsite restaurant which we ate in one night and it was lovely. 10/10 experience

a fantastic stay in the New Forest

Great location (very handy for Peppa Pig World! and generally access into the New Forest) The cabin is situated in the best part of the site The site has excellent amenities for children including a good play area, trampolines, woodland walks and restaurant The cabin was comfortable and very clean - everything we needed including a well equipped kitchen and washing machine

It was quite hot when we visited and these little pre-fab cabins do get very hot (with no AC) but we didn't mind that much, just opened the windows (others might find it more bothersome)

A beautiful lodge with everything you need for a perfect get away, very bright, comfortable & relaxing. The holiday village is so peaceful, clean & well maintained! We enjoyed a lovely few days, lots of walks exploring the New Forest amongst the wild ponies & deer. We were very lucky to have sunshine all weekend! Would highly recommend a stay here!

Excellent location and the perfect place to stay for a great holiday.

The Lodge is amazing. Clean and everything you need. Location was great as close to Salisbury and Southampton and a short walk to the New Forest. The site has a Pizzeria and a mobile Fish & Chip van, for when you don't want to cook.

Beautiful lodge in gorgeous surroundings. Very peaceful and relaxing. Good facilities too to entertain the whole family, our 3 year old loved the little splash zone and the park. Delicious food served at Ember Cafe.

Quiet, clean and comfortable. There was only 2 of us but plenty of room for more without feeling cramped. The lodge had everything we needed. Great location in the heart of the New Forest.

The location is amazing, just next to the new forest. It was really quiet, in the nature. The lodge was really spacious, clean, well decorated. Everything needed was there

The only comment I would say was to have a bit more dishwasher tablets and toilet paper as we stayed 4 days and we were 4 people.

Exceptional

The lodge is stunning,modern, cosy and very clean inside. we spent Christmas here and it was so beautiful and peaceful. The park is shut for the season so only a handful of people staying on site. The on-site shop was shut but not a problem as there’s a nisa and a petrol station just a stones throw away on the main road (a36). The kitchen had everything you need and the beds are very comfy ( just like your own ). The owner was lovely even when we turnt up late in the dark and couldn’t find the lodge, Sharon was on the phone directing us, it’s literally tucked away around the other side of the lake. If your looking for a relaxing time away this is definitely it! They cater very well for dogs! At first we were nervous as the lodge has very clean with very light carpets but a towel and blankets are provided for sofas and wiping their paws on entry, luckily our dog is use to having his paws wiped before he comes in and doesn’t jump on furniture and we took his own bed. We will definitely be back. Thank you Sharon your lodge made our Christmas one to remember xx

Fabulous accommodation in a wonderful location.

Comfortable, well equipped quiet static caravan by a lake on the edge of the New Forest. Three deer came to the lake early each morning. Easy to get about in the area as it was winter, so very few tourists. The coastal towns were easily accessible by car as well.

There is nothing I can think that would have improved our stay.
