When it comes to ski chalets, the main criteria for success is how quickly can you get toasty and warm after a session on the slopes. This home is Les Allues passes that test with flying colours.
Inside, the unique design of the floating wood-burning fireplace means that more people can gather around its crackling flames at any one time. As well as that, you can strip down to a towel and spend a long session in the private sauna, or make the most of the selection of bathtubs instead
If the weather's a little warmer — or you're just feeling brave — you can head out onto the terrace and plunge into the inbuilt Jacuzzi. There are seats out here, but you can also get some fresh mountain air out on the balconies, which also have some lovely views of Bozel Valley.
You're probably wondering how far away the slopes are and the answer to that is not very. The Olympe Express bubble lift in Méribel is only five or so minutes' drive away, as are the restaurants of Les Allues.
