A little bit of heaven

The location was amazing. Right on the shores of Lake Skadar. The little fishermans cottage was a rare find. Well thought out decor and a lovely large bathroom out the back. We hired canoes from the owner and arranged a lovely boat trip and dinneer with some locals. It was an experience to never forget.

Had to cross a busy road but parking was right outside and given the proximity to the lake, was a very small inconvenience.

Beautiful setting, very calm (except for traffic at the front), very helpful and friendly owners

The house is well equipped, modern and comfortable, exceptional views across Lake Skadar and adjacent mountains, direct access to the lake, rental of canoes possible

This was not an issue for us, but property is located next to main road and train tracks, parking is on the opposite side of the road, to get to the house, both the very busy road and train tracks need to be crossed, so with small kids or slow walkers, be aware of this, might be tricky to master, otherwise beautiful setting

Close to nature.

This place has a unique atmosphere. The view from the window was beautiful …. The nature there was very beautiful. The owners are very nice and very friendly people. They helped us when we asked them to. We had nice time there.

Entering the house is very dangerous because you have to cross a busy street and railroad tracks. The kitchen could be cleaner.

A highlight of our trip

Probably one of the best views in Montenegro. The host was very helpful and arranged anything we needed. We had a great ride on a speedboat to eat fresh fish in a restaurant only reachable by water. The price is fair and the bathroom and kitchen are adequate. It felt like we were in south America, not Europe, which was great.

The issue of the view is that it's difficult to reach. However, having the possibility to come by train is amazing. There's a train stop close by but you'd have to walk so close to the train that it would hit you if it passed. We came this way with luggage and decided to ask for a ride to the station while checking out and the host arranged a taxi. You could encounter some bigger spiders on the way to the outside bathroom but that just adds to the exotic feeling.

Highly recommended for those who love nature, peace, quiet and escape from the city and crowds

The accommodation is phenomenal. The view from the terrace is priceless. Sleeping next to the fireplace is too good a feeling. The host was very kind and went out of his way to meet us for everything we needed. His welcome with wine and prepared fish speaks of his hospitality and kindness. The possibility of renting kayaks is a warm recommendation for everyone who likes to visit the lake. The cleanliness of the building was at a high level. I hope we will hang out again.

scenic place - but not suited for families

- scenic place by the lake with unique view - comfortable baby bed - possibility to rent a motor boat by the owner to explore the lake

- not suited for a family with kids in my view - the parking situation is really dangerous . even if it was transparent in the photos it is just not a real parking space and it’s another thing if you have to carry everything from luggage to your own baby every time over a VERY busy fast street AND a rail road right after - not up to the expected cleanliness standards - very simple in terms of amenities - not even a coffee machine or water heater

Lovely stay by Lake Skadar

The atmosphere of the lodge was amazing, so peaceful! From the first minute we arrived, we were greeted with the view of the lake and the sounds of the birds. We even got to see some pelicans 🙂 Ivana (host) met us at the lodge and showed us round, made us feel welcome and was very friendly We were able to utilise the host's kayak for a small fee (20 euros per day) Sunsets were superb ❤️ Plenty of fly spray, candles and mosquito repellant were supplied

Other reviews have mentioned the parking. I'm glad we had a small car (Suzuki Swift) so could park it in the space between the main road and the cliff... It's tight though! There was no kettle when we stayed

Perfect view on the beautiful national parc and helpful hosts! :)

Ivana was super devoted and helpful! The communication was easy and whenever we needed something she made it work! She lead us the way from the airport :) The view from the terrasse is stunning! Makes you not wanna leave the appartement and just watch!

You should keep in mind that the road and a railway are right next to the appartement. So it can get a bit noisy. But for us that was not a problem :)

Exceptional

So beautiful. Through gigantic window when the sunrise wakes you up the first thing you see is natural scenery, and at the night moonlight reflection from lake is putting you to sleep. Unbelievable terrace with the perfect view, 50 meters from the Lake. Just perfect! The best thing is that at the property there are kayaks you can rent and explore Lake on your own. We did that every day and didn't even leave the place at all. The owner was kind enough to show us perfect places for swimming in the lake, so we didn't use the pool. It was so great that I can't believe that this property for this value even exist. The cherry on the cake was just cought fish that owner was kind enough to share with us, which finished on the property's barbecue later that day. I strongly recommend! Massage for the owner Mr. Balsa, see you next year❤️

Great basecamp for exploring Skadar Lake.

The Lake House is a wonderful basecamp for exploring the Amazing Skadar Lake region. You can't get any closer to the water, and the owners of the unit have some two-seater kayaks for rent. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils and storage for food and there is an outdoor BBQ area. Plenty of towels and cleaning supplies ... really, EVERYTHING you need. There is a good-sized refrigerator and the wifi is fast and stable. In the summer, the local roads are lined with fresh fruit stands, melons, peaches, cherries, berries and in the heart of summer, the most amazing figs you've ever eaten. The deck is shaded by grapevines and looks out over an amazing wetlands full of egrets, herons, ducks and other birds. When I arrived, the host gave me If you're coming by car, get some details on the parking before you arrive. The hosts are kind and generous and very responsive to questions I stayed for 10 days in August and it immediately felt like a home away from home. I will definitely be back.

There's nothing that could be better, in my opinion, but I will say that this is not a standard hotel and you have to be a bit adventurous and open-minded to enjoy this incredibly unique spot because it is NOT a drive-up hotel and it does take a little bit of work to get to the front door, but it is totally worth it once you're here.

Wir haben gleich storniert. Da konnten wir nicht schlafen. Es roch unangenehm

Diese Unterkunft ist eine Zumutung. Man parkt an einer viel befahren Straße in einer Felseinbuchtung, muss über die Straße und zusätzlich noch über Bahnschienen. Und das noch mit Gepäck. Die Unterkunft sieht nicht so aus wie beschrieben. Der 2. Stock ist nicht vorhanden. Das Bad/Dusche ist außerhalb der Wohnung. Es roch sehr unangenehm in der Wohnung. Wir konnten da nicht übernachten und haben noch am selben Tag storniert. Das geht gar nicht.

siehe oben Die Bilder stimmen nicht mit der angebotenen Wohnung überein. Der 2. Stock, da wo ein weißes Sofa steht, gibt es nicht. Die Dusche bzw Bad ist außerhalb der Wohnung. Man muss also raus ins Kalte, wenn man duschen möchte. Eine Zumutung.

Schitterend verblijf met een fijne gastheer

Het uitzicht vanuit je bed en terras zijn echt fantastisch! Hier ervaar je het meer echt voor de volle 100% je kunt met je kano zo het water op en genieten van de natuur. Het huis heeft een goede airco en lekkere douche. Ook de keuken is prima. De eigenaar is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam en zorgt er ook voor dat je je echt welkom voelt!

Fantastisk udsigt over søen fra skøn terrasse. Hyggelig lejlighed. Meget behjælpelig vært, der hjalp med at arrangere bådtur.

Larm fra vej og tog lige bag huset. A/C unit larmede så meget at vi måtte undlade at bruge den.

Vue incroyable sur le lac mais environnement sonore

L'hospitalité de Baki était très appréciable. Il a communiqué très régulièrement avec nous, avant et pendant le séjour pour nous donner des indications afin de trouver le logement. Il nous a offert des boissons en arrivant et le logement comprenait plusieurs denrées alimentaires. Il s'est montré très généreux et abordable. La vue sur le lac Skadar et les montagnes était magnifique. Et le fait de pouvoir louer les kayaks directement sur place facilite l'accès au lac. Quand il a su que les kayaks qu'il nous avait loués étaient abîmés (avec de la résine restée collée sur les shorts), il nous a mis des kayaks gratuitement à disposition sans nous compter le prix de la location.

Il faut traverser une route très fréquentée et une voie de chemin de fer pour accéder au logement. Le parking est situé côté route. Le train passe a moins de cinq mètres du logement et circule au moins une fois par heure voir plusieurs fois par heure selon les moments de la journée. Et le bruit de la circulation empêche de profiter du calme de la nature. Le logement est assez restreint en place. Tout tient en une seule pièce (cuisine, salon canapé et chambre) et nous qui étions 4, cela a été problématique. La literie était un peu trop ferme pour nous. On aurait aimé des lampes de chevet à côté du lit pour ne pas déranger les personnes dans la même pièce.

Prachtige locatie en uitzonderlijk lieve host!

Het contact met de host was uitzonderlijk positief! De host stond gedurende ons gehele blijf klaar om te antwoorden en dingen voor ons te regelen en mee te denken wat te doen in de omgeving. Het huisje had een PRACHTIG uitzicht over het meer. We hebben ook een dag een kayak gehuurd vanaf ons huisje, dit was goed geregeld en leuk. Om het meer Skadar echt te beleven is deze accommodatie een echte aanrader!!

Wat ons betreft kon het iets schoner. Het was een beetje stoffig en wij hebben altijd liever wit beddengoed (maar dit zal meer een persoonlijke voorkeur zijn). Verduisterende gordijnen zouden een extra pluspunt zijn. Maar de host, locatie en knusse inrichting van het huisje maakte bovenstaande absoluut goed.

Jeśli chodzi o parking czy dotarcie do obiektu to od samego początku mieliśmy wsparcie właściciela i nie mieliśmy z tym problemu.
