Good value for money

The room was very clean and insect-free. Surrounded by rice fields, it had a peaceful atmosphere. The restaurants nearby were quite far away, so it was difficult to walk. I'm grateful to the owner, who prepared meals for us every day, and to the staff, Yuni and Kadek, who always looked after us.It was a lovely villa with a great attention to detail in the decoration.

Oasis of peace just outside Ubud city center

We loved the place! Slightly outside of the city center, it offered quiet and fresher air. The view was great, with the fields just in front of us. Our bungalow was beautifully and entirely decorated in wood, very pleasing to the eye. The bed was comfy, the bathroom spacious and clean. The owner and the staff were exceptionally kind and made our stay truly enjoyable by providing tips and logistic help :) highly recommended!!!

Amazing villa with even better staff!

The staff and the peacefulness, especially the staff, were beyond amazing. The owner is most of the time on the property and is happy to have a chat or to help with anything. The villa also has a self-service bar/kitchen where you can buy water/softdrinks/beer in addition to fruits or ice cream for great prices. There's also a lovely cat on the property who makes sure that no unwated animals are disturbing your stay!:) Simple yet great breakfast! Definitely recommend, and suggest to book in advance as this place is always booked!:)) Thank you Villa Sawah Ramah.

Everything was great, no big negatives to the property. Maybe if you nitpick things the taxi might cancel/take some time to come but that is outside the property's control and they do offer a solution like renting a scooter!:)

Just the best!!!! 💙

Everything!!! The location is outside of Ubud but not too far! Which means you can relax in peace at the villas, but reach the attractions of Ubud easily by car.. (the property also has an amazing driver Komang, who you can hire for your stay- definitely recommend doing this he took us to so many amazing places and even introduced us to local food at a local restaurant! Patrick the owner is just lovely.. he was super accommodating and friendly and even joined us for a day out! Had the best day! Yunik & Kadek who clean and organise breakfast are just the best too! Friendly, smiley polite and can’t do enough for you! If you’re looking for tranquility and quality book Villa Sawah Ramah- you won’t be disappointed! Sad to leave! Thank you all!! You’ve made our stay so enjoyable ❤️

Ubud Oasis

The bungalows were amazing and very luxorious, the staff was friendly! The breakfast was amazing and the view from the pool is great! A nice oasis outside of Ubud!

The property was great! There were some miscommunications from my side prior to the stay which I did apologize for. The owner didn’t even reply which made us feel uncomfortable when checking in later that night. When having breakfast, he was ranting towards his staff for over an hour which was rather unpleasant. Also, water refill with your own bottle is 10.000 - its the first time we ever had to pay for water at a hotel. Overall, it is a great place but I felt quite uncomfortable so we checked out quickly after the one night and went to a different place in Ubud.

Beautiful and brand new location among rice fields in Ubud

Cleanliness, attention to every detail, well-finished and excellent quality furnishings. Breakfast, albeit the same every day, of excellent quality and well balanced with fresh and tasty products.. Ibu's pancakes are extraordinary! lovely place!!!

I booked several months before arrival signaling that we were a family, but from the first moment we arrived the kind owner Patrick kept us specifying that he would no longer accept families, and every day we stayed he repeated it, making us feel uncomfortable and unaccepted. swimming pool: due to a probable excess of copper (the owner didn't know exactly what was being used to sanitize the pool) natural blond hair tends to turn green as well as the swimsuits, but I have not encountered problems with quick baths of short duration.

Wonderful villa in Ubud

This villa truly deserves its high rating. The place was really meticulously and luxuriously designed. What you see in the photos is what you'll get! The owner put a lot of effort in making sure the stay was more than comfortable e.g. rainshower, swimming towels, headphones, mosquito repellent, exceptional breakfast and even fresh flower deco that were replaced daily. The staff were also exceptionally friendly and helpful as well.

Perhaps it'll be better to have more lighting at night. Water refills were chargeable at an acceptable cost.

Best villa in Ubud!!

The breakfast was excellent, extremely fresh and well prepared- and we loved having it cooked for us every morning by the owner or the staff. The room was so beautiful, and the bed was one of the comfiest beds we have stayed in. The staff were so welcoming and helpful when booking scooters, and recommending tours and places to go. Was so nice to stay somewhere quiet and out of the hustle of ubud, but still within a close drive to the main centre. Really loved that there were only 3 villas, and was so nice to speak to the other guests and meet people from around the world. Would absolutely love to come back!

Incredible.

I think I said wow 100 times before i’d even made it to our room. The location is great with views over the rice field out towards Nusa Penida. There is a local village close by with a couple of eating a drinking spots and Ubud Main Street is a short drive away. Villa Sawah Ramah has been thoughtfully designed. It feels homely with a touch of boutique loveliness. The traditional style villas are just beautiful. Patrick and his team were fantastic. It is very rare that you receive hospitality to this level. All of the staff/partners we encountered went above and beyond to assist in anything we required. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend whole heartedly to anyone.

Except for the kettle and insect issue, I think it was a good stay!

Patrick and Yuni were very hospitable and kind. They accomodated our requests very nicely and were responsive so quickly over text. They served us amazing Pancakes! 😍 The villa is also quite cozy and beautiful.

The location seemed a bit far off from a lot of places… maybe a scooter would be helpful. Another issue we had was there were a few insects creeping in through the bathroom roof, maybe that could be fixed by sealing the open spaces. Sometimes it is quite dark and more lights could be fixed at the entrance gate. I think a kettle in the room and complimentary water bottles could be included in each room…A security guard or any other help 24*7 would also improve the experience!

So we booked our stay there for 4 nights. Our first night was horrible. I woke up in the middle of the night because I heard some weird noise. I first thought it is my friend. After a while I switched on the light and a saw a rat running under our bed. I was awake the whole night because it was sitting under our bed chewing. It was disgusting. Next morning I woke up and I saw it opened up our snacks (chocolate bars and some chips). And the worst: also my medicine!! U could tell the rat was in our bags. Everywhere! So we immediately checked our because we felt not good anymore. I told the manager about it. He just said “no food in the bungalows”. Ok well, got it. But I stayed in other bungalows same type and never had rats. At least then but a fridge in the bungalow where guest can store things. But it was not only the food! Also the medicine?!? So the manager promised to pay back some money but 3 weeks later I haven’t received anything.

Villa Sawah Ramah When we arrived at Villa Sawah Ramah we found very comfortable lambo’s, a perfect swimming pool and a main building that combined together invites you to interact with the other guests. But in the end for us it’s all about feeling at home. All our credits for that go out to Patrick and his lovely staff Unique and Kadek. Patrick is a great host and a charming personality. At breakfast he is fun and puts a smile on your face so you start your day in the surroundings of Ubud in good spirit😀 greetings from Marcel and Diana

The villas were our favourite place we have stayed! They are all furnished beautifully. As there are only 3 villas, it feels so quiet and private. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the owner ensured we were well looked after during our stay. The breakfast was amazing with a lovely view. The villas were also very clean and had all amenities for a comfortable stay. We were very sad to leave this beautiful place and cannot recommend enough!

Amazing, I’ll be back!

Where do I start … this place is quaint and beautiful! I was looking for a relaxing stay and this is what I got. The bed was super comfy and the room itself was beautifully designed. Outside, the pool area was so relaxing and it was great to look over the rice fields whilst relaxing in the sun. Not too far from the centre but just far enough to avoid the bustle of Ubud. So easy to rent a bike or book a taxi via grab (arrived within minutes). Breakfast was simple and tasty with a great banana pancake! Perfect. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a tranquil place to stay. Not forgetting, Patrick the owner who was very welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed our morning chat! It definitely feels like an extension of his home. The staff were very attentive too. Thank you!

Perfecf stay in Ubud!

We absolutely loved staying here, it was very quiet but easy to go to Ubud centre. Eveything very clean, beds were made every day and the staff was wonderful. Good breakfast in the morning and the staff helped us with laundry, renting scooters, a cooking class and airport pick-up. You only have the think about enjoying yourself! Don’t look any further if!

Stylish, quiet, pastoral, cozy, and super comfy villa. Bed, bathroom and breakfast (what else do we need for a small getaway, right?) were impeccable. You can feel Patrick’s care in every detail. Unfortunately I caused the host some inconvenience by arriving late (check-in is NOT possible after 6pm), and I’m very grateful for all Patrick’s hospitality. Great mix of a high end, traditional Bali villa design and a family feel. Patrick and his staff are really friendly and helpful, and keen to chat with guests. The pool and the view are incredible, and so it the breakfast. The location is a 5 minute scooter ride from Ubud center but there is barely any noise or traffic on the road of the Villa.

Close to nature private villas near Ubud

This is hidden treasure near Ubud. I loved that we had our own villa, with a lovely view and a pool at our doorstep. It is always spotless clean (daily cleaning), the interior is also high quality and charming (designer furnitures). We loved the extra wide and comfy bed, the curtains and the bathroom. The outdoor and common area is also great. The local staff is very kind and helpful, we used the cleaning service, the food delivery and the massage too and the arranged everything quickly and perfectly. The breakfast is great and delicious.

It is not easy to get here without a car/motorbike, as it is quite far from the centre and quite rural, so night walks are not recommended. Not much in the surrounding area, so its better to ask for delivery or rent a motorbike. I found it strange that you had to pay for mineral water, it is usually included in the price.. Some bigger variety and something salty would definitely make the breakfast better! I like to eat salty food for breakfast (like eggs etc) so the pancake and toast (with jam) were a bit too much for me for several days (no other options).

Beautufil villa and great hospitality

We loved staying at Villa Sawah Ramah! Patrick (the host) and his team made our stay unique and special! we wanted to live there. So sad when we had to check out. The room from the outside and photos looks small, but they are really spacious, and beautifully decorated. Extremely clean. The bed and linen super cozy and comfortable The villa was just perfect, nothing missing, a pure bubble of paradise. the pool is beautiful, water clear like coming from spring. The photos don't do any justice. Breakfast delicious (made with love) We'll definitely come back here on next trip. So far, one of our best stay in Bali. Thank you Patrick so much for your hospitality 🤗

This property was beyond beautiful. It was private and safe. So easy to spend a day relaxing or taking a scooter to the city to sightsee. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was such a treat!

I feel bad about writing this review and have since he an apology from the host so all is well. But do need to mention that he did enter our room without knocking, and as 3 young girls that can be a bit scary. He was upset we hadn’t used coasters, which was fully our fault but I don’t think it warranted such a scary reaction. No hard feelings and all is settled now. The other staff was always lovely❤️

For anyone looking for a family like feeling, quietness, peace and rather less people than more, then look no further and use your opportunity to stay in Patrick’s villa before the prices start spiking up in this amazing place. Patrick goes extra and beyond to make sure the guests are having quality time during the stay. They can fit up to 8 guests in the villa, therefore it creates a feeling of privacy and at times as if you would have the whole place for yourself. Breakfast is between 8-11 am and really nice too! Have not missed a day of breakfast and a chat with Patrick and the guests we had the chance to get to know. Furthermore, Scooter, food, other entertainment options available for booking on the villa too. Also, Patrice can book the weather for you in advance, just need to ask 😊)

An affordable dream stay

We spent three wonderful days at this beautiful place in one of the three well designed bungalows in traditional style. We had the one with an additional double bed on an upper floor. The beds were comfy, the nights quiet with just the typical animal noises, so we had a real good sleep. The villa itself is perfect in every detail, the location is peaceful and the view is stunning. We loved the unique view over the endless ricefields down to the ocean with Nusa Penida at the horizon. On two mornings I had the great luck to capture a blue-bellied Javan kingfisher with my camera, so so beautiful with it's large red bill! Breakfast was very satisfying, a huge fruitbowle with yoghurt, toast with tasty marmelades, a pancake and a real good big cup of coffee or tea. Patrick, the very caring French host, his lovely stuff and the friendly cat Tiger gave us a wonderful time. To get even better just one little hint: After arriving it took some time to cool down our special bungalow with it's upper floor since the AC is located upstairs, so it would be best to precool a bit when guests are expected. We travelled all around Bali and were staying at 15 different places with top reviews, but we definitedly liked this place best and wished we had booked a longer stay. Hope it will be available when we're back to Bali! Thank you for all your attention and help, Patrick. Hope we will be neighbours some day!

Best place to stay while in Bali

Wonderful staff and great breakfast! You can book your massage with them and they come to your room. They also offer wonderful authentic program with a local guide. The view and the scenery is just paradise itself. Bathroom and rooms are spotless, you can’t ask for a better place to stay while in Ubud
