Great accommodation, great value for money

I grew up in and around Hillsborough and my parents lived in the area until recently. If only this place had been there when we were visiting in the past! I'd wholeheartedly recommend trying it out if you are visiting the area. The accommodation is to a very high standard and the price is hard to beat.

Absolutely brilliant quiet getaway

Lovely apartment in a lovely area! Staff went above and beyond a standard self catering get away, very accommodating to suit a family stay and made sure we had everything we needed and more. Will definitely book again 😊

Relaxing stay

Very comfortable bed. Studio appartment was very spacious. Smart TV was great. Good sized bathroom. Stylish room with free parking just outside. Overall a very relaxing stay, would definitely book again, as well check-in was as straightforward as check-out.

Such a peaceful location not far by car from Hillsborough & the Eikon centre

The host rearranged rooms so my friend and I could be next to each other. The suite was lovely and spacious, good shower and a comfy large bed. Parking right outside the door was a bonus.

Excellent experience in a beautiful setting

I really enjoyed my recent stay in Homestead Hillsborough. The check-in process was extremely smooth, with Mechelle, the host, reaching out beforehand with all the information I needed to not only get to the location but to find my room and make sure I had an idea of where everything was. I had forgotten to request a room with twin beds at the point of booking, and I asked Mechelle on the day if she could give me a room with two beds, and she kindly facilitated my request. The room was fabulous - large, extremely clean, comfortable beds, a modern bathroom with a large shower with excellent water pressure, a lift for the upper floor and extremely easy access. There was a communal area just near my room with an extremely well-stocked modern kitchen - the amenities on-site were excellent. I was so impressed with the whole experience - thanks, Mechelle!

The accommodation, grounds, facilities were exceptional. We wished we had booked another night I wanted to sleep in that cloud of a bed another night.

Well we couldn’t work the microwave lo but that didn’t matter the local takeouts made up for that.

Truly the best stay you’ll ever have!

Our family has been traveling around the UK for 3 weeks and this was BY FAR our best stay. Very roomy, very clean, new, comfortable beds, excellent shower. Out of the city in beautiful countryside type area but very close to the city. Just perfect.

Only downside is I had difficulty connecting with the host at first so was in a little bit of a panic the morning of our stay because I hadn’t been able to connect with anyone. But if you have What’s app then you shouldn’t have any troubles. Ultimately she was able to contact me and we worked it out so it was fine! Again…this place is perfect.

We were very happy with the accommodation and would highly recommend it.

It was very comfortable, clean and well kept and we were very happy. On the first day we were there it poured with rain and when we got back there was no way of turning on any heating device but since it was mid June, that's completely understandable - however. A quick call to the owner Michelle and she was straight over to sort it out and we got everything dry... that's a proper service. Overall for any queries she was very easy to get hold of and very amicable

It may be a little more expensive than many similar places we've stayed in and could have done with a kettle in the room but this is very much a minor point and irrelevant to the overall experience.

The attention to detail by and communication from the host was incredibly good. Queries were promptly answered. The property was lovely, and there was a lot taken on trust, which is rare these days, but added to the atmosphere. Plenty to keep children occupied too.

Making NI accessible

Facilities and cleanliness was amazing along with the directions in getting to the property and the location for travelling to various places.

I had requested 2 rooms with 3 single beds but on arrival had been given 2 rooms with 1 double and 1 single bed. Due to arriving in the evening with tired children I didn't want the hassle of trying to see if this could be changed.

Great little place from which to branch out to explore the Mournes or Belfast.

The kitchen and laundry facilities were excellent. Very quiet area in close proximity to the Forest Park. Individual parking facilities were useful along with am electric charge point.

Some disruption to the electric and water and ongoing construction works. The neighbouring accommodation block is still under construction and can be quite noisy during the day.

Excellent stay! Would return for sure!

Bed was extremely comfortable, room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was modern and beautiful. We really enjoyed the shower and the lit mirror. The kitchen as a nice added bonus.

The shower could use a shelf for soap/shampoo. The kitchen fridge could be cleared a little, it was stuffed and the ice could be in a container to keep it fresh and separated.
