We loved that it was kid friendly plenty of room the bed was comfortable.. bathroom etc was all very clean and tidy

It was very cosy once it heated up .. very relaxing

We had issues with the gas and didn’t have heating for a while 🤦🏾‍♀️ we didn’t get to use the hot tub as it wouldn’t heat properly kept turning its self off

The rose petals and cupcakes were a nice touch

We ordered just eat to the reception as the girl told us to when we arrived and when the delivery guy came they told him they don’t take orders and my boyfriend had to run the whole way up in the dark and the rain to find him, when reception was meant to bring it to us. The distance to reception was quite far as the girl told us we would have to ring them for a lift if we wanted to leave. Also no WiFi in the river house was absolutely dreadful, especially after all the money spent.

Had an amazing stay and can’t wait to return!

Honestly couldn’t fault this place. I read some reviews before going and was quite hesitant and scared but honestly my stay was amazing. The staff were so so helpful. Brought us more duvets and pillows so we were comfortable and brought us more lights to the dome for outside as the ones there weren’t working and it was quite dark. The dome was nice and cosy warm. Beds comfortable. Spa was outstanding.

The only downside was the hot tub at the dome. I would have preferred an electric hot tub rather than a wooden one. So I didn’t use it but it was filled with fresh water and heated before our arrival and was lovely and warm. Wooden hot tub just not for me.

Uncomfortable and lacking off basic accessories

The view from the dome was lovely

The hot tub was to hot we had to use the hose to cool it down. The beds were uncomfortable and heating the dome was a struggle the fire was lit and the heat up full and still left cold and unsettled. No tea bags or coffee sachets which usually is a basic necessity for these glamping type locations. For the price paid it wasn’t worth the money.

Incredible location with lovely staff

I stayed with my boyfriend and loved every bit of it. Theres free parking and our room was very private. The room was perfect for the two of us, controllable heating, electric shower and kitchen appliances. We went down to the spa together and it was one of the best experiences. Amazing jacuzzis, saunas and a pool, plus the staff were excellent especially John (I think that was his name!) We originally had a problem with our lock but it was fixed immediately when we called. Right next to the city so it was perfect for a drive. Would stay again!

Only negative thing was that our tap water stopped working but that was all

The place was freezing, the velcro flaps for windows did not fit so the cold air was coming straight in and you could see daylight through them, the property was damp with mould on the curtains, the hot tub was filled with green alge, tried to contact out of hours number on site but with no answer and no call back either

Excellent stay. Want to come back

Location was good Plenty of Amenities Loved that they left tea and coffee condiments. The heating was on for us coming as it was freezing. The pod was spotless Staff were lovely & helpful took us to our cabin. Really want to come back again. Our accommodation was right the smoke house restaurant which smelt absolutely delicious but we went to the Indian round the corner instead.

Very unpleasant

We arrived there just 5 minutes before 3:00PM but we waited for 20 minutes plus to finally check in. Nobody came to us to at least assist us to our place, if my husband did not ask someone to assist us after waiting we would not even able to. When we finally check in and arrived in our room, the state of the place was very unpleasant! First, there is no rug on the entrance door, so floor was wet and slippery. The sofa bed has crumbs or dirt and even have a bad smell on it that even my daughter refuse to sleep there. The hot tub was a huge disappointment because of the water being so dirty, not even sure if the water or the tub itself is dirty. We booked the place hoping to get a chance to use the hot tub as a family but the hot tub itself is too much dirty to use, yes it is warm but it is dirty, the water is grey. The bed is unpleasant and even have stains on it.

The hot tub was too out in the open and had no roof over it for when it rained and the cabin we were in had no cooking facilities only a rusted wood burner outside with a rusted not cleaned grate on top sat on the edge of the deck in the elements and the whole cabin wasn’t privet as the entrance to another cabin faced out hot tub

Do Not Recommend!

Clean-ish

- No toiletries in room (no toilet paper or soap for hand washing) - no logs for fire and when we asked for them and they were provided they were incredibly damp - cannot park outside lodgings, 5 minute walk in uneven terrain - hot tub would barely fit 2 never mind the 4 the room was designed for. It was also full of leaves and murky. - heating didn't work - Spa really far away from lodgings so you have to drive - Lighting non existent around accommodation so if you need to go to another lodging or back to your car bring a torch. I contacted them in regards to the issues we had and have so far been ignored. Wouldn't recommend.

DO NOT waste your money on this place!!

Bed was comfortable and the bathroom facilities were quite useful.

Where do i begin, For starters the hot tub was absolutely freezing no matter how much wood we lit or how long we kept it on for it would just not heat up at all so we didn’t get to use that facility, The kitchenette was outside so anytime we wanted a drink or a cup of tea we had to go out in the lashing rain and not to mention the complete and udder filth of the place was unbearable. There was hair all over the pillows, pieces of broken wood on the ground inside (which gave my parter a splinter) Numerous dead flies laying about the place and literal cobwebs inside the kettle. Dirt and grime on the utensils also, The sofa that we wanted to use to watch tv has streaks of uncleaned brown stuff (which i’m guess was someone else’s fake tan that has came off and not been washed).

Shower full of mould was rather dirty throughout the hole room. Private hottub was filthy with a sheet of green limescale. Staff said they would come back in 20 minutes to take us to the spa no one come back! Absolutely disgusting for the price. avoid!

Hideaway cottages at Water Edge Spa (Let's Go Hydro)

The staff were so lovely and accommodating. We knew that if we needed anything they would be there to call on at all times. The beds and linens were all clean and fresh. The beds were also very comfortable.

There aren't many pictures of the property to view beforehand which probably should probabaly have been the first red flag. The site itself is really run down and not kept that well at all. The "hot tub" was just a wooden bath really that had a water pump to heat the water. It was only big enough for 2 people, so therefore wasn't suitable for all three of us who went. Ehile it was filled from frssh water from the resevoir the water itself was quite dirty and we had to us a cup to get things out if it. When it stated that there was a hot tub on the booking information it was not specified what kind of hot tub it was. We would not have booked this property if we knew. There was also damage within the property that hadn't been fixed, such as the bathroom door handle that was broken off on the inside. This made it very difficult to get the door open again and the end where it had broken off was very sharp. We had to use a towel over our hands as one of my friends actually cut herself on the handle.

Very disappointing

At first the Dome accommodation looked good driving up to them.

Just here for accommodation. Check in arranged for 2 - by 3.20 we got in. Apparently only 1 mop. Had no knowledge of when cafes and restaurants onsite were open and actually weren’t sure where their office was. Dome accommodation looked good but there was loads of goat droppings around it and in the entrance. We told they would be cleared - took them nearly 3 hours to do so. In the meantime our dog (reason we booked as dog friendly) ingested some of the droppings giving her an upset stomach. TV not operating - reported not working at 3.30, despite numerous requests for someone to come and fix, and assurance they would, no one came. Quarter of a roll of toilet paper; took over an hour to add supply when flagged. Had to drive up to the office to raise these issues as they never answer the phone or respond to voicemails. No lid on bin. Bare nails sticking out of seating outside. Sofa bed pillow wet. Main Dome bed/sheets damp. Damp on curtains despite heating on. Cold as a result with poor sleep. Not too clean.

We had a comfortable night and the location was lovely

The pod was very comfortable.The facilities were good especially the bathroom. We also enjoyed the outdoor space.

The living area of the pod wasn’t as clean as it could’ve been. There was no soap in the bathroom. The kitchen had washing up liquid but we couldn’t find a dishcloth or a T towel. We luckily had things with us as we had been self catering earlier on in the holiday. I used the hot tub which was lovely and warm. The bbq outside still had cooked food in it from previous occupants. The wood burner in the pod had old drinks cans in it. We booked very last minute as our ferry had been cancelled but things could have been better. The staff were very helpful on check in.

Lovely and beautiful place. Love how private and secure it is!

•On arrival staff didn’t know where we were staying •Private hot tub that was paid for extra ,hadn’t been turned on upon arrival. Wasn’t hot until about 10pm (turned on after 4pm) •Partner went to shop in morning and couldn’t get back in through the gate, as we had not been provided with a code to open the gate nor was there anyone present at the gate.

I liked the area, it was nice to be away from everything. Local shops weren’t to far away either.

For a start.. booking.com sent us to a completely different area? Leaving us to check in only at 6pm. Only for my girlfriend looking online to find out it was actually at let’s go hydro, we wouldn’t have had a clue. And another thing.. the hot tub at the hideaway hut has left me and my girlfriend covered in hives? Are these actually cleaned? I’m unsure…. Otherwise apart from this a good stay.
