Au coin romantique Vernon Giverny

I had a wonderful stay! Everything was very clean and comfortable. The building is historic and inspiring. The host was super helpful and friendly. I would love to come back

The bed was OK. The host is responsive.

The space has been converted into a bedroom with a very smelly bathroom attached. The room is in an attic, on the top floor up 3 flights of steps, and the last steps are quite steep and dangerous. There is no lift. There is a light for safety, but you must remember to turn it on before using the last steps. We never found the light on the ground floor entrance way. The room smells of mold, and there is an exhaust fan that is not working. There is a sign near the toilet saying that no paper should be flushed because it is a special type of toilet. It is quite noisy when it flushes, and it reminded us of an airplane toilet. The toilet seat is made of very thin plastic - it was quite poor in terms of quality and comfort. There is only 1 window in the room, so the ventilation is very poor. We left the window cracked, and we were awoken by the cold in the early morning. There is a radiator, but it doesn't do well to heat the space. There are many single outlets for electronics charging; however, all are in use with lamps and other needless appliances like a dirty kettle (see photo - it very much needs to be cleaned from hard water residue). I told the host, but she dismissed my complaint. I counted 6 lamps in the small room. The kettle also turn off and on intermittently. TV is too small and far away to see from the bed. Desk is antique and quite uncomfortable for sitting and writing because the chair is too low for the height of the desk. The chairs in the room are not comfortable. The "coffee table" is actually a luggage rack, so trying to make coffee there is hopeless. There was teabag set out for us that was already opened. The hairdryer was not working. The host said it was new fresh from the box, but obviously no one tried it until we did. In the last photo you can see the window of the room from the street. It is the single window on the top floor on the right side of the photo. We felt the value was quite poor for the price we paid.

Unique place to stay in Vernon. The place is thoughtfully designed with all required for comfortable stay. Anna is very welcoming and helpful host.

I loved being in such an old building with beams and a view onto other 14th century buildings I felt so very lucky my hostess Anna was wonderful and helped me with directions and bookings The little stairs up to this delightful room are challenging but This old girl took it slowly what a reward
