    can't stop complimenting this place! The location is fantastic, and the amenities are incredible. The complimentary happy hour with Sapporo beer and spritzers was such a great touch, and having free matcha available throughout the day made the experience even better. What truly made this stay exceptional, though, was the staff. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely helpful. I'm already coming back to Kyoto this December, and there was no question about where I'd stay, I already have my booking here. If you're considering this place, don't hesitate. Just book it. You won't regret it!

    I booked 2 twin beds with view room. It market's itself as a little luxurious. It's not. Room was small. I could only open my carry on inside. To open my large suitcase I had to move to the front door and literally jump over suitcase to get around. There's a lot of wasted space in corners and walls. Air conditioning unit was old and very noisy. Not appreciated during warm May month. A plus is that there are several perks following check in. A matcha and dango, 3 types of alcohol and udon. All offered for free. If they priced themselves more reasonably it would be OK. Also getting around with local transportation is hard. Hotel is 15 mins by bus from Kyoto station. Anyone taking JR is better off somewhere else. If you're taking the Keihan line you should be OK. Also if you're ok with bus that only has stop signs in English. Also please note all 3 bus lines that serve this area are super busy. Meaning no space to sit and packed like sardines. Do not recommend taking luggage. Lastly, please note shuttle is only available after checkout heading to Kyoto station. Van only has 9 seats and reservations are required. I was stuck with 10:30am because all prior times were fully booked.
