Walkable to most must see sites in old city. Spacious room, fine breakfast, some quirky designs choice like elevator’s stepped entrance and dimly lit hallway. Being pushed on recommended restaurants and cruise tour first thing at the check-in felt a bit weird but some people may prefer that. Overall a nice hotel especially if location is the priority.

My partner and I had to book this hotel last minute for the second half of our trip in Istanbul. Because of the good reviews and optimal location, I decided to go for it, especially since there was only one room left when I booked. When we arrived, we were greeted nicely and shown to our room. At first, I noticed the carpeting did not seem very clean, but I looked past it. Over the next 30 minutes, though, it was disappointment after disappointment, especially for a hotel that claims to be high quality and charges accordingly. Our fridge did not work, the internet would not connect, and we were told there was an issue with their system. In the bathroom, the blinds had visible stains, the towels had strands of hair on them, and there were stains on the floor. I also noticed that the bedroom phone, lampshade, lamp legs, and several other surfaces were covered in dust. I still tried to overlook these issues until I sat on the bed and literally saw a cloud of dust come up from it. I have allergies, and from the moment I entered the room I was already having difficulty breathing comfortably. I contacted reception and was told the room had been cleaned earlier that day. Mr. Ayhan at the front desk did try to help with the situation, which I appreciated. However, Mr. Okan tried to explain the dust on the bed and curtains as being related to the material/cotton, which made very little sense to me. Cotton sheets or curtains do not explain visible dust or a cloud of dust coming off the bed. I showed them photos of the stains and dust and personally showed the cleaning staff the issues so there could be no misunderstanding. Before leaving the room, I intentionally placed a very small lipstick mark on a specific hidden area of the bedsheet so I could confirm whether the sheets had actually been changed. More than an hour later, after being assured that the room had been cleaned and the sheets changed, I returned and found the exact marks still there. They continued to insist that the sheets had been changed. Changing bedsheets and properly cleaning a hotel room are extremely basic expectations. The dishonesty surrounding something so simple was even more disappointing than the lack of cleanliness itself. I will also attach a photo showing where the hotel appears to keep its “clean” towels: extremely close to the floor, exposed to the open air, stacked on top of each other on a surface that is visibly dusty. After seeing this, the condition of the towels in our room became even less surprising. There were additional issues as well. The shower is incredibly loud and strange to use, and the sink also makes an unusually loud and unpleasant noise. At the end of the day, after a lot of back-and-forth, repeated conversations, and explaining the same issues multiple times, they finally changed our room. The second room was ever so slightly better, but only after far more effort than should ever be necessary for something as basic as receiving a clean hotel room. Although the location is good and Mr. Ayhan did try to assist us, cleanliness is the bare minimum for any hotel. Based on my experience, this hotel is at best comparable to a two-star property, certainly not the caliber it presents itself as. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The lack of cleanliness was already unacceptable, but being repeatedly told that things had been cleaned or changed when there was clear evidence that they had not made the experience significantly worse.

At Vogue Hotel Premium Istanbul, the Sultanahmet location is unbeatable—just minutes from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Rooms were modern, spotless, and surprisingly quiet given the central spot. Breakfast offered a generous Turkish spread with excellent, attentive service. Staff went above and beyond, helping with dinner reservations and tram directions. My only small critique: the pillows were a bit firm. Still, for comfort, cleanliness, and effortless walking access to all major historic sights, this hotel is a superb choice. I’d happily return for the hospitality and convenience alone.

Staff good Clean Everything is old. Overpriced. It is not 5 star There is a room for sleep, bathroom for shower and a restaurant for breakfast. Then that’s it.
