Hotel Saint Sophia

Hotel St Sophia is in an excellent location in Sultanahmet. We arrived in IST and took the Haviest to the hotel. A big thank you to Enes for making our check in and check out so seamless. Our room on the 3rd floor had a spectacular view of the Blue Mosque and was extremely quiet. The breakfast selection was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Excellent location most places (blue mosque, restaurant’s, bazaar market etc) were just a short walk away, room was cleaned every day with clean bedding and towels which was really nice. Staff were very helpful from booking to giving directions and ideas were to visit, also offered a personal guide to show you around for around €200 cash for the day and Taxi to the airport €75 cash approximately. We will definitely be returning!

Location is the best. Hotel is remodeled and clean.

Room 42 delivered all promised. Big room and bathroom, work space we needed, in room coffee, very comfy bed, AND a wonderful balcony overlooking Hagia Sophia. BEST room in town. The Turkish breakfast is amazing as well. The patio bar is okay if you want wine or beer. Any other liquor, no! It’s been sitting in the direct sun for who knows how long and they really don’t know how to make any drinks. If you want a full bar that’s relaxing, go to the Hilton bar right around the upper street corner to your left then left again. You can also walk to most sites or grab the tram to get anywhere. Careful with cabs - they are notorious for overcharging and taking you for a ride. Uber not much better. Walk or tram. Note: the call to prayer is quite loud and is literally right outside your sliding doors. We loved it, but if it’s something that bothers you, it’s probably not the room for you. And since you can hear it all over town from all the mosques, it may not be the town for you. Warning: the hotel is in no way wheelchair or walker or disabled accessible. It says they are and some pictures show you a street entrance. Nope. See the pictures.
