Ca' Frezzeria by Sarlux

We absolutely loved the location, It was easy to get to, with no steps or stairs on the short route from the water taxi or water Bus nearby! Location is very central, right off Saint Mark Square and in the middle of everything…. However it’s very quiet In the evenings and early morning because it is a shopping area😁 There was a small set of stairs inside the apartment building, but essentially if you cannot do those, there’s no point in visiting Venice because everything is bridges and steps, et cetera. Lots of areas nearby to eat and drink. Within walking distance of all the main attractions such as Rialto bridge, Saint Mark Square….. Well equipped apartment with everything needed, the bathrooms are small but these are old buildings in the centre of Venice so it’s what I would expect…. Everything still in working order, Which is the main thing😊

Mattresses on the beds were not great and those on the twin beds were most uncomfortable so if they could be changed the apt. would be perfect!

Very central and cleaned

The apartment was nice but there was a constant stuffy air despite we were keeping the windows open. I recommend the cleaners should keep the windows open to allow air to circulate much before checking in.

Our Venice apartment is decent size with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, has the hardwood floor (so almost no old house smells). There are ample heaters around the apartment. The dining room and sitting room are spacious. The apartment was quiet at night.

A few comments for future improvements. (1) The location of the apartment is good – but it is a bit far from the nearest water taxi station (Rialto) if one had luggage. (2) The building has an elevator – Level 1 of the elevator is almost the level of our apartment; Level 0 of the elevator is actually one floor higher than the street level – so we still need to walk some 20 steps from the street-level entrance door to the elevator level 0, which could be problematic for people with joint issues. (3) We were given only one role of toilet paper in each bathroom. (4) The washing machine was not working (promised on its website – never mentioned to us after we booked/paid/arrived). (5) The bath soap is too small – about one inch in size but wafer-thin in thickness – which is good for handwashing but not sufficient for body washing. (6) There were no coffee and tea in the kitchen – my Rome apartment has a fully stocked tea and coffee. (7) Finally, they should update the check-in and check-out instructions. In the check-in instruction, the info about the wifi router name and passwords are totally wrong. In the check-out instruction, it mentioned specifically what to do with the two sets of keys, but we received only one set of keys when we arrived.
