The room was very clean and the house was in a really good location (very close to everything in Windermere). The owners of the property were also very nice!

I reached out to try to communicate with the property owner and got no response. When we got off the train, it was pouring rain and it was too early to check in. I was trying to find out if I could store my bags or check in early, but nobody responded. I communicated first thing in the morning and it was several hours until I arrived in town. I ended up ducking into the first restaurant I could find to stay out of the rain, and had a meal I would not have chosen to eat otherwise. The entire room smells strongly of carpet powder or something like that. I think it is trying to mask the odor of dampness or something, but it really is overpowering. The property is in a good location.
