Kayausagi

From the very start the staff was very nice, even though we weren't the best tourists. We stayed a short time, and in that tike the staff was friendly, despite our Faux Pas and were willing to help us with arranging luggage forwarding. The room we booked was very clean and offered coffee, tea, and ice water in our rooms which we were free to use. The mats we slept on we comfortable and had plush blankets that almost kept us TOO warm during the cool Spring nights. The Onsens though were the star of the show. We had two private Onsen attached to our room, one that was inside and one that was Open-Air. Both were incredible to be in and legitimately helped myself and my travel companion with aches and pains during the trip. I can't recommend this place enough. Must go Onsen if you find yourself in Hita.

Wonderful and peaceful place. Amazing onsen, both inside and outside in a private garden (depending on room) the food was very traditional Japanese and using good ingredients. Lovely place to be. The windows where letting the sound from the river in making it feel like glamping in a good way, very good ac and lovely bed/futon.
