The place and the resort are amazing, but the main drawback is that the toilet is located outside the room in an open space. This setup is particularly inconvenient at night. Similarly, the shower is also in an open area, which adds to the discomfort. Dinner is served in very small portions—especially the rice, which was limited to just two tablespoons. Aside from these issues, the location itself is lovely.

Everything was great. Especially the staff. Komang is an outstanding cook. And everyone was friendly and helpful. My only problem was the room they gave me was discribed as having AC. It did not. I might suggest they correct that for future clientel.

Property was a little out of Lovina Beach, but was only a 5min car ride away. Lunch and dinning options were limited at the resort, so if you didnt like the available options, this meant you were heading into Lovina Beach or beyond to find a restaurant that had a wider menu range.

Puri Manga is the most wondefull place. We loved the garden feel, the pool area (and the view from the pool), the small houses you stay in, the restaurant, the bar and the spa area. There is a clear red line, calmness and authentic style in the overall design of the ressort, which we really liked. The moment we arrived, we imediatly felt welcome and was greeted with a cold drink and a small wet towel for washing hands and/or face. The staff is very friendly and service minded, even compared to the overall great Bali standard. The food was great, even better then other twice as expensive resorts we stayed at (again compared to the great Bali standard) and the spa area is great. We booked a 5 hours tour with our own driver, which was put together after our wishes (waterfalls, budhist tempel and hot springs), but there are many more places to see, and Puri Manga is a great hub for trips in the nothern part of Bali. And yes, the last 100 meters up the the resort are a bit steep. But inqurie the resort to send a driver to pick you up, if you cannot find a decent driver yourself :) It was my second stay at Puri Manga and i will definitely come back again, because it its the most relaxing and beautiful place to stay in Bali, and their staff are the best :)

It is a quite nice place but too many flaws. Location is very remote. The very unpleasant going up and down very steep road literally only fit 1 car ( you need a car that strong enough to drive here). The staff are nice. Bedroom is ok clean some wall paint is chipping. I am not a big fan of the decoration. Too many painting and sculpture hanging. I feel like i am sleeping and being watch (not sure if this is some sort of tradition), definitely not my cup of tea. The bathroom only flush 1 time then we have to wait for good 10 minutes, maybe more, to flushed the 2nd time. I don't know for sure but, seems like we are the only guest there. When we are about to check out, the lobby is dark, pitch black (yes it is early in the morning since we are going for the early dolphin tour). Originally we want to come back to the hotel after our boat tour. But because of the condition of road getting there is hard to pass and kind of dangerous. we change our mind. If you like quiet and remote place. This is a good choice.

Arrived midnight. It had been raining. Viewed 2 rooms both were leaking in the roof. The 3rd one had a terrible blocked view compared to first 2 rooms. In the morning, woken by a loud wailing sound. I never came here to be disturbed. Management were great when I told them in morning I’m leaving. There is no way I’m staying. Management did not charge me. Arranged for a car to take me to The Lovina, a nearby hotel. Management allowed me to call Expedia customer service for help. Management of this hotel listened to me. For this management, I give 4 stars! Thank you for listening and responding positively to my complaint. You make me confident to recommend you and rate you highly, regardless of my experience.

What an absolute hidden gem in the North of Bali. Set high on a hill with views that stretch as far as the eyes can see. We had the pleasure of staying 2 wonderful nights. The staff are welcoming, attentive and friendly.

This place is tucked in the hills above Lovina for great panoramic views and sounds only of nature and the countryside. The staff are super friendly and take the time to learn and call you by your name. I stayed in the Lumbung and although no air conditioning I was fine and cool enough at night in late October/early November. Breakfast is absolutely amazing with fresh, homemade bread and jams.

Lovely place. Beautiful gardens extremely well kept, and staff are super friendly and genuinely very sweet and helpful. They can't do enough for you. Food in restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. Only a couple of things on the menu each evening, depending on what they got in the market that day I guess, so always super fresh, and prepared from scratch. Accommodation (we had the family room) is very comfortable, and interestingly laid out in traditional Balinese style with lots of artwork and handmade Balinese furniture. Local area surrounding the resort is real Bali. Paddy fields and kampung life right outside. However, it is very well located for all the highlights of Northern Bali, which itself is stunning. Forget the South, this is the real deal! Unfortunately the weather when we were there was very wet, with the rainy season hanging on an extra couple of weeks longer than usual. However, this did not dampen our stay, as the resort itself is such a nice place to hangout and simply admire the real Bali laid out right in front of you. We had a toddler with us (18 months), and had to watch her like a hawk, as the resort is not the most family friendly if you have a child this particular age with a lot of hard stone floors, and sharp edged furniture (also worth bringing a travel cot and child seat for mealtimes, as ones they have not really suitable for this age). Slightly older kids would be absolutely fine though. ps WIFI is excellent!

The view is spectacular,the infinity pool is amazing,the rooms are fantastic and the staff is the friendliest I met during my time in Bali. You have the option to eat there for a reasonable price and it is very good. I let them surprise me with dinner every night and I was never unsatisfied with what they brought to my table. This place is definitely a resort worth staying in especially if youre looking for peace and relaxation. I stayed in the traditional Balinese house while it was hot because there is no AC I knew that ahead of time and I believe that mine is the only one thats like that all the other rooms have AC and are more like Villas and hotel rooms. I just really wanted to stay in that particular house because it looked like a traditional Balinese house and had the bed underneath for meditation and reading

Upon my arrival, I was greeted by warm staff, essential oil soaked cold towel, and mixed fruit drink. My favorite part of my room was the spacious and open roof bathroom to outside. You would feel like having a bath in the nature. So relaxing and joyful. The resting area in front of the room is big and equipped with large/comfortable chairs. The ecology of this place is fantastic for our body and mind and perfect for yoga and meditation in the morning and evening. Love it!

One of the best balinese hotels we have stayed. We stayed for 4 nights and the staffs were absolutely wonderful. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean was absolutely breathtaking.We were initally going to stay at the other luxury resort down the road from Puri Mangga, I am glad we chose Puri Mangga instead. Very accommodating and extremely helpful in every way.The hotel is up the hill and not next to the beach, but the hotel provides shuttle service from 9am to 6pm for free.Thanks Rose at the front desk for making our stay so special.

One of the best balinese hotels we have stayed. We stayed for 4 nights and the staffs were absolutely wonderful. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean was absolutely breathtaking. Spontaneously we booked 1 night at Puri Mangga's Lumbung, because we were fascinated by the photos of the house. We no longer read the complete description . After a difficult access via an adventurous, albeit fortified road we were greeted warmly and felt at ease. The Lumbung is quite small, has no aircon and for shower and toilet you have to go downstairs and around the house. Luckily, there were free aircon rooms and for a very fair additional charge we could have one in a semi-detached bungalow and there we were for 2 nights with no direct neighbors. Room and terrace are spacious and well equipped and even the outdoor bath excited us (even in the rain). The entire facility is well maintained, the pool pleasant and the view from the mountain to the sea overwhelming. The best thing though is the warmth of the well-trained staff and the quality of food in the restaurant. From very good breakfast to dinner everything is prepared with attention to detail appealing and tasty. Therefore, it was no question that we extended our stay despite rainy weather on 3 nights. The only downside were the barking dogs in the neighborhood that made some niose especially at night. But this is a problem throughout Bali and not specific to the Puri Mangga. So we can absolutely recommend this resort and would definitely stay there again . Those who like privacy, should try to book a single bungalow.
