What a wonderful stay we had at Hotel Asafuji! The staff were so incredibly kind and welcoming to us. Our room had a breathtaking view of Mt Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. We slept very well on the futons that were prepared on our tatami mats. When we left, the staff gave us several gifts to take home with us. Also, we really appreciated the shuttle to and from Kawaguchiko Station. Our only regret is that we only stayed for 1 night!

Nice views of the mountain but of course weather dependent.
Less than 5 min walk to the beach.
Onsen was awesome.
I would recommend breakfast at the hotel as there are no restaurants nearby. I would plan when and where you have dinner in Kawaguchiko. The place isn’t Tokyo and stuff opens later like 9-10 am and restaurants close at 8 or so. There is one restaurant next door and that’s all for this part of the lake shore. Other hotels have restaurants but they only serve their guests.
