Great hotel with fantastic service! Centrally located, nicely decorated rooms with a/c and the staff were excellent. Our room key stopped working one night and the manager came to help us within 10 minutes without fuss. We also ate at the restaurant one night and it was our best restaurant experience in Bruges. Highly recommend staying here! Please note there are no elevators and your room may be situated on the fourth floor.

The Hotel war over all okay, but we expected more when we saw the Pictures and the Ratings. We traveled with a Group and booked seven Rooms. In one room, the toilet seat was broken and another room the safe did not work. We asked several times for support, each time they promised us to fix it, but when we left after two days, it was still nothing done. The beds are OK but the rooms are smaller than it looks on the pictures. On the first evening we had dinner at the Hotel restaurant and the food and service was excellent.

If you are visiting Brugge for work or for leisure, this hotel is in the perfect location. Everything is walkable and the dining options are endless. You will of course only eat at the Kafee of Gran Hotel de Passage as the food is worthy of any fine dining establishment. The Chicken vol Au Vent was perhaps one of the finest meals I have ever eaten (I wish I could get the recipe). The staff were unflinchingly polite, professional and helpful. My only negative feedback would be that the AC in my room did not appear to work as I could not turn it on, but I am sure that is easily solved and the windows in the room provided ample fresh air when open. This hotel has wonderful character and if you are a solo travel or couple who value comfort at an affordable price as a base for exploring a beautiful city, then book this hotel!

There's a lot to love about this place but there were also some big misses too.
Pro: beautiful building, great location, fantastic service. I liked going through the building, it was cool!
Cons: very large "suspicious" white stain on pillows when I checked in, no hand soap available, and the towels smelled mildew-y

The layout of the hotel is odd because it's shared with a restaurant annd access is through a dark and narrow alley.
There is no one on duty 24/7 so don't expect a rescue in an emergency such as accidentally locking yourself out of your room or the hotel after hours.
My room was spacious and the bed very comfortable.
Good value for money considering the very central location.

The location of this hotel was perfect. Big garage right accross and very easy walk to everywhere in the old town of Brugge. However, and this is not disclosed anywhere, the hotel is on 3 floors with no elevators. The room we stayed in had a tiny bathroom (toilet) where the door would hit the knees. The heating is electric and only works when your key card is in the room so we were very cold when we came back in the evening and tried to go to sleep. There is no water or tea or coffee anywhere. The restaurant downstairs is not open in the morning. The beds were quite comfortable.

Perfectly located - but thats all...
Tiny, cold room. No staff available outside the restaurant hours. Very little hospitality and comfort

This was a great little hotel to stay at in the heart of Old Bruges. Emil, the host, was totally amazing and went out of his way to help us find a place to dine on our first night as the onsite restaurant was closed. He also directed us to a local trappist bar woth an amazing selection of Trapoist style beers. We dined at hotels restaurant on our second night and I am glad we made reservations. The place was packed, and lots of locals were dining here - a testament to the quality of the good. The Flemmish stew was mouthwateringly delicious. Breakfast was by candlelight, and was a traditional europsan breakfast. There is a parkibg garage right across the street, just be careful as its crowded and some of the parking spots are tight. Bruges is an amazing city to visit, highly walkable, and felt very safe. Would definitely return to this hotel. Only downside though, if you are mobility challenged, there is no elevator. Rooms were a very nice size. Good value for the price we paid.

The hotel is in a good location close to amenities. The rooms are spacious and clean. It should be made aware when booking that there is no one on staff regularly and that no cleaning will be done on the rooms.

Nicely located in the main area close to all our favourite places. Rooms well appointed with separate toilet and shower would say shower is open plan. No extras such as water and if you like a cuppa take your own kettle

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. We were there to see Bruges, not spend the day at the hotel. The beds were VERY comfortable and everything was clean. When they say 3:00 check in time, they are not kidding. They will let you leave your bags, which was terrific, but the area is not what I'd call secured. (A space under the stairs) Our shower was literally in our room, with the toilet in an attached WC. My in-laws had a complete attached bathroom in their room, but no door. They had shampoo and soap, we only had soap for our sink. All good, though. We made due with what we had and what we brought with us, had a great night's sleep, and enjoyed the town. We were there only one night, but I'd stay again. NOTE: Hallways as you can see in the photos are very dim. This was difficult for my father-in-law. Just something to keep in mind if your eyesight is not perfect.

The room was very basic and the shower was very old. The sound proof was zero. For a similar price I had something a lot more comfortable in Brussels city centre.

The hostess was super welcome and helpful! The hotel is right in the heart of the city but still in the quiet street.

Picture and description of property is disingenuous. Gives appearance of a hotel having a private bathroom, television, telephone, ect. Property has none of those features or complimentary breakfast. Value for this room is low compared to what one would pay in the area for a budget business room having the amenities above, for example The Ibis Hotel at the Bruges train station. For those reasons I would rate the property a very low value due for the rate charged.

The check-in at this hostel is 3pm. We arrived in Bruges at noon hoping that we can leave our bags at reception. But there was no one at reception and we had to ultimately leave our luggage in station lockers.Apart from this bad experience, the hostel was not too bad.

We had a great stay and from a value for money perspective this hotel is wonderful. The finish on the rooms leaves a little to be desired but the location and the in house restaurant ensure you forget about that. Perfect for 1 night in Bruges.

This is a very simple place to stay. The sink in the room was blocked but otherwise very clean. Area is great and handy for restaurants and sightseeing. If you just want a bed for the night, this is for you. If you want comfort and trimmings, stay somewhere else.

To start with the positives, the hotel is well located, the staff (though apart from check-in you dont really see them) were friendly, and there is a lovely restaurant below, which appears to be the main focus of the owners business. However, this was probably the worst stay Ive ever had...ever, anywhere. The rooms are not en suite and the shared toilet (only one on our floor of several rooms) was grim, and the shared showers (two on our floor) was a bit like a festival shower with a push-button to get water for approx ten seconds per go; also only one of the showers had a working lock. Each rooms door has a lovely window above it which, while practical for letting light through when you want it, was dreadful as anytime another guest turned on the hallway light to use the toilet at night the light would stream in and wake you up; the acoustics were also worsened by this and you pretty much hear everything in the hallway and in other rooms. The hallway and rooms have linoleum flooring which makes sound even louder and more echoey.Rooms were very basic - we had two singles with two folding chairs for side tables, a standing lamp, and a basin. There was one electrical socket.Yes this is a budget option, but honestly even on a budget you can find a room with ensuite and suitable noise-dampening in Brugges so I would suggest looking elsewhere. More attention is needed for staying guests, as is clearly done for those dining in the restaurant below.

We stayed here for a night, the location is great - equidistant between the train station and main square. Check in was simple and our room was on the first floor. The room was basic - beds and a sink, a desk nowhere near a power socket and that was it. We dumped our stuff and went out sightseeing. The toilets are on the first floor and shared with the restaurant. This means there are constantly people going up and down the stairs. Wifi was variable- sometimes it was ok, others I gave up and used 4G.Overall the hostel is priced like a cheap hotel but offers no facilities and not even ensuite rooms. I wouldnt go back for the price I paid (€63).
