Destiny Student Murano - Campus Accommodation

Great value for money. Wonderful location just a block from McDonald Street tram stop and easy access to several bus lines. Very quiet (apart from the local population of gulls). Staff are friendly and efficient. We found the refrigerator, stove top (hob) and microwave worked well. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of hot water, both in the bathroom and the kitchenette. No clothes hangers in the two small closets in our room. Policies regarding towels and toiletries are clearly explained before arrival. They do not provide standard face clothes -- take your own. Sainsbury Local is a block away and Lidl supermarket is about three blocks away for those who prefer self-catering. A variety of typical eating options are also within a few minutes walk. (Don't buy any ice cream until you check the freezer unit in your refrigerator -- ours was very heavily frosted over and we had to use a knife to remove enough ice to get anything into the freezer.) It is very helpful to have free salt and pepper sachets available from the reception. Comfortable seating and nice computer work desk.

Staff friendly on arrival and departure the room is basic but very clean, you can get 1 towel and rea or coffee and shampoo etc from reception. You have use of a communal kitchen which has a large TV in there. Overall a great stay. Thanks

It's basic but clean, inexpensive and convenient accommodation close to Edinburgh city centre. Staff is very nice and helpful. There is a well equipped kitchen available for use but there are also some lovely breakfast options near by (Ante for example, fabulous). The beds are quite small, you need to really like the person you are sharing with. Nice clean bathroom. I will definitely use it again if I need accommodation in Edi outwith term time.

There for Ed fringe, good bus route to get to the royal mile and having use of the washing machines was great. Would come again next year
