    For a solo female traveller this can be a bit tricky because the hotel is on a small hill and at night the street is super quiet and no one is there so naturally you can be scared. Was quite expensive for what it offers - tiny room but had all the amenities. The location was amazing though - you're right on the leith street and nearby most places.

    For our 2 nights stay we endured a room with no showering facility due there being no water pressure. The issue was reported to the front desk and management team at first instance for a resolution. Front desk apparently sent their maintenance team to repair but obviously without any joy as the shower still failed to operate when trying to use it. There was no attempt by the hotels front desk to keep us posted with any updates on this apparent repair or resolution and found the whole experience of staying at this hotel for the Edinburgh Tattoo to be very poor especially at the price of *** for 2 nights and therefore do not recommend this hotel to any potential customers.

    The room was disappointing due to being situated on the lower ground floor , it was rather small with no natural light, and the view was a wall and a shabby door. The staff were helpful on reception as the key card didn’t work on first attempt , so another were made. I asked about changing rooms due to the location, but was informed hotel was full and it wasn’t possible . The bar closed at 10:30 , which I think is too early for a hotel bar when clients could be returning from shows etc and wish to have a nightcap. The breakfast was good and the breakfast staff were very helpful . I would probably stay here again but would prefer a room on a different level.
