We were welcomed on our arrival. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have a continental breakfast included. It’s a beautiful quiet spot to rest after a day of traveling.

Overlooking the sheltered harbour, Shorehead guest house enjoys one of the best views in Stonehaven. It is perfectly situated allowing you to explore the town and local area on foot and with a good selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs within easy reach. Opportunities for wild swimming or paddle boarding are on the doorstep. Its a great wee place to spend a few nights if you can.

The location is very convenient, restaurants are nearby and the town centre isn’t far away. It could have been cleaner and tidier, it seemed like it was done sloppily. The breakfast which was included is self-serve and everything on offer were sugary snacks, cereal and yogurt. Would have been great to have healthy options as well.

This is the second time I've stayed at this property this year. It's clean, affordable, and very conveniently located—and the host is absolutely lovely. This time we rented three of the rooms and had a wonderful time in Stonehaven. Will be back again in the future—and hopefully for longer!

The place was nice, the room was excellent. The only issue I had was that we were left to our own devices (some would see that as a benefit) in the morning. I had to hunt for cutlery and crockery for breakfast, juice and milk in the kitchen fridge, made my own coffee, no fresh pastries, etc. Just not what I expected for 150 quid a night.

The host was very accommodating, friendly and informative. The is no staff presence at the hotel so there was a 10min wait for the host to arrive. Once we gained access we were shown the communal lunge, dining area and kitchen. The establishment has a modern and tasteful decor and the view from the lounge window is over the habour. The breakfast was a continental self service setup, however there was a decent enough selection. The room was comfortable and warm given arctic conditions on the time of the visit with central heating. The location is very good with some restaurants etc a stones throw away, parking is free on the road, dependent on availability. Probably might struggle in the summer months, however also a car park 5mins walk away. Would deffo stay again if in the area.

This is a pleasant house with en-suite for each bedroom. The property likely dates from the 1600s and has been renovated to be quite pleasing. The rooms are small. The breakfast was great. There was a heat spell when we were there, so we missed not having a/c or even fans, but that is Scotland. We would return, should our plans bring us that way.

Lovely small Guest House on harbour. Rooms were small but beautifully decorated, very modern. Double bed in Balmoral. Upstairs lounge has excellent view of the harbour. Breakfast very good, freshly cooked to order. Hostess doesnt live on site but comes in response to a phone call on arrival. Would recommend.

Shorehead B&B is a hidden gem on the east Highlands coast. We happened upon the B&B when looking for a place to stay for a last minute trip to see Donnettar Castle. We were met by the owner, who was warm and personable, and the room was both comfortable and beautifully decorated. Surprisingly, the path to the castle began in back of the inn and continued up the rugged mountain. Shorehead sits on the shoreline and provides unbelievable views of the coastline and cliffs. The atmosphere is perfect and the made-to-order breakfast was a perfect ending to our trip. I only wish we had begun our trip at Shorehead instead of it being our final stop before returning home.
