    Hotel is dated, but overall pretty clean. It is located pretty far from restaurants and points of interest - you will likely need a taxi to get around. However, the restaurant + buffet breakfast was pretty good if you don't want to venture out for food. Our biggest pain point in Aswan was that everyone there wanted to make as much money as they could from us. We were constantly being price gauged as tourists, and the staff at the hotel were not willing to help with this. We asked them for some pricing ranges so we know what to expect for taxis for certain routes, and they refused to help, only referring us to their partner travel agency. When we asked for a local taxi, they were unwilling to help us translate to negotiate a better price (for example, the local "Uber" price was 50 EGP and the taxi would charge 500 EGP). I don't think these requests were unreasonable as a customer of the hotel.

    The hotel isn't 5 stars, barely 3. Tye location & view are good but the hotel needs total renovation and does not meet the standards of a 5 star hotel. It was an utter shock.

    Rooms are ok but it doesn’t feel luxurious. Floors are tiles with no bed room sleepers. Breakfast buffet I will give 5/10. Beds are comfortable. Location and view of the Nile is beautiful. I took a walk along the Nile on a cool night and it was beautiful. I booked this room at a peak season and it was expensive at ***. So my take is it’s only worth *** per night.
