Habibi nubian guest house is the best option for staying in west bank of Aswan. Owner Habibi is the best. You can get all tours in Aswan from him. He has private boats and can arrange for boat tours aswell. If you want to experience Nubien people and Nubien village and food, this is the best choice. In addition there is option for free laundary service.
We have booked Abu simbel tours from a private team in a van. Most of the tours to Abu Simbel starts from east bank, ie near Awan city. So they charged extra $30 for our pickup. If you are staying in east bank of Aswan it free.

The room was very comfortable and had a nice balcony. They even let us use their washing machine for free which was very nice of them. The food at the restaurant was super tasty and the staff were very accommodating

Host was super fast and keen to help with any questions or concerns about Aswan or the property. Staff were very friendly. Upstairs restaurant is delicious and great value so another reason to stay.
The view of the nobles tombs and desert scape from the rooftop is incredible
On the west bank of the Aswan BUT if you take the local ferry (3 mins walk). Boats cross the Nile every 10 minutes from 6am to 11pm and they are 20 egyptian pound (super cheap!) so you can get to eastern Aswan very easily
