The property was excellent, clean, well informed and helpful desk staff an excellent breakfast menu and staff and great Parking. We could walk to the central district and across the Douro. The only day Slife is the restaurant, which had high prices and narrow menu.

Beautiful castle and property. The staff was always making sure we were being taking care of even if we were leaving somewhere they would ask if it was a good experience or if we need any recommendations.
Have in mind, if you are staying in the main building and you have lots of luggage, there’s no elevator to bring them up, so get ready to have a last minute stairmaster workout.

We loved our stay at this castle. Both the exterior and interior design were unique, with blue and white tiled walls typical of Porto.
The rooms were well kept and very clean. Staff were helpful and gave us great tips on where to go on our last day. We didn’t have time for breakfast in the morning, but they arranged breakfast to go for us.
Wish we had stayed longer!
