After a problematic check-in, when we did not receive the room we had expected, the staff made an effort to resolve the situation by giving us a much better room, spacious and overlooking the garden and pool.

The photos look incredible, but the reality was quite different. We booked this hotel because we were attracted by the pool and the bright, modern atmosphere shown in the photos. However, the common areas and corridors felt quite dated and did not match the impression created by the listing. On arrival, we were assigned a room facing the street, with a bus stop directly in front, even though the listing advertised a "garden/swimming pool/city view". Since this was not what we had expected, we asked to cancel our reservation. Instead, we were offered another room, but it had almost no natural light and felt very claustrophobic, so we declined it as well. After all, the staff moved us to a better room for the first night and, the following day, to an excellent, spacious room overlooking the garden and pool, with a large balcony. Unfortunately, by then, most of our stay had already passed. Our main disappointment was not the place itself, but the mismatch between the advertisement and what was offer to us. It gave us the impression that guests are first allocated less desirable rooms, despite booking based on the advertised views, and only receive a room that matches the listing after complaining. That left us feeling frustrated and significantly diminished our enjoyment of the stay.

Extremely helpful staff. Located right by the metro which is great for returning after a day walking around Porto in the heat. Room was lovely with great view over garden. Breakfast was lovely as was the glass of port wine on arrival.

Lovely area, very friendly and helpful staff. Charming hotel, spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. Lovely pool in beautiful gardens, lovely and peaceful.

It was difficult to sit by the pool with the construction noise next door, which we understand was out of hotels control.
