Very friendly and helpful team. A very good breakfast. Location is based very well to the beach and city center. Our room was ok. Like mentioned from others: the space for the toilet is very small next to the shower, the bed mattress are small and maybe not the best solution. A carpet in a hotel room is for us something what we not prefer. Especially when the window was closed it smelled damp in the room. For us a good hotel for a short stay.

Room was really small, but as a solo traveler, I cant really complain. It had all the amenities I needed. The hotel is conveniently located to the city center and the beach. The staff was exceptionally excellent, friendly and willing to take the time to offer recommendations.

I suggest to install conditioned air in the room. Apart the high tempertaure due to athmospheric heat-wave all teh rest was OK, the breakfast was plentifil, the stahh was wery gentle and nice.

Hi we booked this hotel for 4 nights over the Christmas period but unfortunately needed to go home early after the first night as our 14 month old baby was ill. Basically good location- extortionate parking costs though so factor this in. Hotel itself very dated. Carpets in bedroom dirty and didn’t feel comfortable with crawling, walking baby on them. Bed mattress and pillows incredibly uncomfortable. Four poster ‘curtains’ so dusty I couldn’t sleep without my inhaler. Bathroom ridiculously tiny. Toilet squashed up against the bath. Bath mouldy around the edges. Breakfast-average. One member of staff lovely but management really unempathic about our ill daughter and insisted on charging us for the next night despite us giving notice at 8.00am. He insisted that we check out by 3.00pm so obviously double charged that room for the night st our expense. Not the nicest especially on Christmas Day. Would definitely not recommend this hotel to families and won’t return ourselves.

Oozes character and style, lovely, friendly, helpful guys on reception. Buffet breakfast was amazing, so very beautifully presented and a huge selection to choose from, coffee was very nice too. We wanted to extend our stay but they were full, that says it all. To quote Arnold, "we'll be back".

Nice and enjoyable stay as usual, we always say stay at De Hofkamers when in Ostend. Most friendly staff, clean and comfortable four poster bed at a most convenient location a stone throw from the beach. Delicious champagne breakfast not to be missed!

The best thing about this hotel, was the great level of personal service for whatever question or issue you might have. The hotel is not perfect, but then what hotel or home is, the most important things you require of a hotel are all there and these are of a very good quality. I would single out the staff member who was there every morning as we all came down for breakfast; her smile was unfailing and her desire to meet our needs was undiminished even at the end of a long service. That's what you need from a hotel not all the other rubbish that people tend to spend hours complaining about in as many websites they can find.

My family and I love this hotel, this was our 7th visit. The hotel is near to all of Oostends amenities, easy to walk to the beach, train station, shops, market, cafés and bars? The breakfast is very good, and the staff are very friendly. With A good payable parking system. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. Looking forward to our extended family break at this hotel next year.

So many hotels in Ostende its difficult to choose off a website, but this hotel I would recommend. The plus points: -Lovely helpful staff. -Excellent quiet location near the promenade, coast tram and town centre. -Marvellous breakfast. -This is a Belgian hotel, not an anonymous chain, so it has its own unique character. The negative points are a little marginal: -Very stiff almost uncloseable sliding bathroom door. -Car parking in Ostende is difficult. -Bedroom a little small and cluttered [and quite a bit of dust about, but the bathroom was excellent and clean]. Overall very good - you will really feel you are in Belgium if you stay here.

We had booked a junior suite and were not disappointed. Contemporary 4-poster bed and room was well-appointed with antique furniture. The en-suite had a walk-in shower and again - as was the whole hotel - spotlessly clean. It had a homely feel and staff at Reception were polite, courteous, proficient and extremely helpful and obliging. There is a free car park situated approximately 1/4 mile from the hotel. De Hofkamers is also situated within easy walking distance of both the enormous beach/shoreline and shops, restaurants, etc. Belgians all seem multilingual, speaking their native Flemish, together with French, German and of course English. So friendly: we made the acquaintance of a charming Belgian couple who were staying nearby. All in all a very pleasant and enjoyable visit to a delightful city.

Central location so necessary to take advantage of the hotels parking pass. Subsequent night in Central Antwerp suggested that Euro 14 charge wasn't great value. The single beds are very small so if you like room to move pay extra for double room for single person. A good breakfast and a low cost for the night

Arrived late afternoon, friendly welcome, parked the car directly outside. Fed the parking meter: free parking between 7.00pm and 9.00am - and if you pay before 7.00pm the ticket covers you from 9.00am the next morning! Room had a modern four poster bed and was very quiet. Breakfast was very welcome in the morning and we wee looked after well. Thank you!

This hotel is a short distance from the sea front. Lovely rooms and very nice bathrooms with good toiletries. Breakfast area very nice with good selection of cold and hot food. No air con but we can live wit that. Parking available through hotel in garage for 14 euros per night.

A comfortable hotel, well situated for town and beach and easy walking to the port and its restaurants. An attractive park is just around the cormner. Breakfast was good and staff were pleasant and helpful. Parking is difficult with few uncontrolled areas within reach. The hotel has an arrangement with a nearby car park: it's essential to use this.
