Fantastic visit, warm welcome from the owners, comfortable room with nice clean em-suite. Breakfast was delicious and great value. Secure off road parking, easy access to / from the town. Pleasant walk was suggested by the owners, to enjoy the Pont de Briare, fantastic afternoon. Very enjoyable stay, we left well rested and happy.

We had a lovely stay. We were taking a bike trip and were shown a secure place to lock our bikes. There was also a very nice back garden for relaxing. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for those cycling in the area.

Lovely warm welcome when we arrived to check in.The room was very comfortable clean with a really good shower. Did not stop at the hotel. Briare was not what we expected so we kept driving.

I was looking for a stop over on the way south to Provence. The pottery factory at Gien was the motivation and I'm glad I picked Briare instead of Gien itself. The marina was nicer for getting meals and relaxing before going to bed. The room was clean and quite even thought it was on the main road into town. Parking was secure.

we were let into the hotel before 2pm after ringing the bell but were told very firmly that the normal check in time was 5pm. quite surprised at this as it gets a four star rating on hotels.com. room on second (european) floor up two sets of very narrow stairs and no lift. hotel clean and bright, room large but with part of roof providing plenty of opportunities to hit your head when moving within the room. bathroom fine with full length bath but no window so we had to keep the door closed after use to avoid room becoming unbearably hot. late (9pm!) entry into hotel worked well and they provided a garage for our bikes. breakfast very nice with good tasting coffee and hot milk plus lots of variety including cheese and ham with scrummy pain au chocolat and croissants (but i was surprised to see the puppy was allowed to enter the kitchen at will during food preparation!) overall we enjoyed our stay and slept well. unusual for a logis de france the hotel doesnt have evening meal facilities although only a couple of minutes away there are several restaurants available down by the canal basin.

THE LADY AT THE RECEPTION WAS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS AND HELPFUL WITH GREAT SMILE AND WARM. THE LOCATION WAS CENTRAL TO WALKING TO THE RAIL STATION OR GOING INTO THE TOWN OR BARGE-BOAT MOORINGS. THE PRICE RATE WAS RESONABLE FOR OUR BUDGET.

This hotel is in a great location for traveling one side of france to another. Rooms are average but breakfast is pleasant. The main reason to stay here is the location for the pretty town of Briar with its river network and lock. The one downside is that the sofabed in room was well past its best.
