Loved it!what a wonderful find. Marta"s place is stylish and clean with everything you"ll need. Marta is wonderful person. Met us and provided us with loads of information about the local restaurants and attratction. Very comfy king size bed. Would 10/10 stay again and recommend to friends.

The owner Marta was extremely helpful and was the best the food was amazing it changed every day ,the portions were more than you could eat.We ate in the beautiful gardens outside with the sun streaming through the trees The building is absolutely beautiful the rooms we’re clean lovely layout and nicely decorated and after breakfast was almost finished Martin would come out and we dance in her garden taking turns from table to table this is a must stop on your trip The balcony and the view of all the mountains were exceptional we came back with some food from town to eat in the evening on her deck and the staff accommodated all the dishes olive oil vinegar table cloth and put on beautiful music for us to eat into the sunset we had laundry service and everything came back folded properly pressed this day is over the top and a must for anybody visiting Italy !!! Martha is the life of our stay at Martis guest house bed-and-breakfast the hostess extraordinaire you You will not be disappointed and staying at Marty’s guest house the staff were very courteous and helpful and extremely friendly this was the best and the top of our stay in Italy

Very nicely maintained guest house. Marta was a very affectionate hostess and treated all the guests as a family. Amazing home cooked breakfast in the morning. Kids loved playing with the 3 house cats. Location was excellent - away from the crowded city but just a 15 minutes drive from both Pisa and Lucca. Would love to stay there again.

It was amazing. Property was exceptional. The garden and village surrounds of the Tuscan countryside was spectacular. The host Marta was magnificent and her breakfasts legendary. The property is 20 kms outside Lucca so suits tourists eploring the region by car including PIsa, Lucca, even Florence.Great value and great experience.

Marta is an absolute delight. The house is a little hard to find in the little village with very narrow streets. Suggest using GPS. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was great. Location is halfway between Lucca and Pisa which was perfect for our itinerary.

This charming bed and breakfast guesthouse was really great. The staff´s (Marta and Giorgio) service, friendly manners and recommendations were super and the feeling when staying in the house was quite unique when it comes to the architecture. I have never before seen such a well restored and designed guesthouse from the 1930s Italian era, the owners have really made a perfect job restoring and also adding their own personal touch and interior design to it, a must see!

My wife and I spent four nights at Martas Guest House...ideal location for our touring of Florence, Lucca, Pisa, and the Cinqua Terra. Marta herself is incredibly helpful, gracious, hospitable. The room was luxurious; the breakfast was fantastic; the coffee was superb; the location was ideal...Marta is truly the best in the business. We highly recommend staying there and plan to go back someday too!

Everything about this guest house was beautiful: the house itself, the rooms - with authentic period decor and the most comfortable bed - and the location. The owner was very welcoming and helpful, recommending local attractions and restaurants, and provided a full home cooked buffet breakfast. Would definitely stay here again if I get the chance. Within easy driving distance of Pisa, Lucca, Florence etc.

Marta Guest House was a stunningly pleasant surprise on our recent trip to Italy. Absolute excellence and attention to detail characterize this very comfortable B&B/villa in a quiet, beautiful village (S. Maria del Giudice) located on the road between Pisa and Lucca (an easy 10 minutes from each by car). The spotlessly clean villa was beautifully decorated with an interesting array of eclectic art objects and antiques (especially the library), both in the public areas and our room. The villa interior (public areas and rooms) features an explosion of rich colors with strong emphasis on warm yellows and golds. Marta is very accessible - in fact she was there to greet our party of four and offered coffee and pastries to all when we checked in after a long drive. She takes great pride in the library/sitting room which she describes as "the museum", which possesses many interesting artifacts she has collected on her own travels through the years. Breakfast (la prima colazione) was included, and surpassed any I have ever had in Europe in terms of homemade regional delicacies and presentation. This place a true gem in every respect. Marta and her staff worked tirelessly to accommodate us, both at her Inn and with suggestions for great local restaurants and points of interest. We eagerly look forward to our next stay at Marta Guest House.

Marta is a such a welcoming, helpful hostess going that extra mile to help us enjoy the area and our stay. We enjoyed our big balcony in the evening and breakfast with home made savoury and sweet specialities. A very personal, and different approach to B and B in a traditional villa packed with fascinating memorabilia.

Situated in Santa Maria del Giudice, just 8km from Lucca center. Beautifully renovated to its original state and decorated with Marta's personal touch allows you to feel like you are staying in her home. The breakfasts are wonderful; omelets, cured hams and salamis, cheeses, tomatoes with mozzarella, fresh fruit, juices, pastries, yogurt, breads etc.served outside on the patio/garden. Georgio, Marta's son, has a wine selection in the living room to enjoy as well. We loved the casual atmosphere and were sad to leave this great find, run by such lovely people. We felt very much at home and both Marta and Georgio went out of their way to help us with day trips and recommendations. Would go back in a minute!

Not easy to find as the GPS lead us astray and there is another guest house with a similar name in the area which can lead to confusion. We were rather tired and frustrated when we arrived after a long day of driving and losing our way, but Marta made us instantly feel so at home with her charming personality and "joie de vivre" that our mood was uplifted immediately. She recommended a great Restaurant in Lucca where she reserved a table for us. Our room was large and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was made with love. We booked Marta B&B at athe last minute and didn't realize quite how far away from the old town of Lucca it was (+- 15 min drive)and was set in "rural neighborhood " of sorts, probably not the usual place we would choose to stay, but at the end of the day it suited our needs and we left happy.

Marta was a wonderful hostess and went out of her way to help us. She even drove us down to the restaurant she had recommended for us and we were able to walk back. Her breakfast was the best we had in Tuscany and all the information she gave us was excellent and very helpful.

Marta's Guest house is the ultimate B&B in a great location well away from the tourist hordes of Tuscany and in a rugged yet beautiful location in the Lucchese hills. Everything is tip top about this place from the rooms to the excellent service. Marta is the ultimate landlady and her staff are equally approachable, helpful and friendly. I cannot overstate how welcome I was made to feel - part of the family is an over used cliche but here it has never been more true. It was a joy to be greeted every morning by Marta & her team always full of smiles and great travel advice. You really can't beat a local's knowledge of their home turf! The breakfasts were full and varied and delicious. You couldn't ask for a more homely place to stay! I will definitely return!
