The location of this property is perfect for anyone wanting the beauty of a working vineyard and a country location yet to be within only 10 minutes drive from Lucca and from there accessible for day trips to the cities, mountains and coast line of Tuscany. The hosts Francesca & Carlos with give you the warmest of Tuscan welcomes and will be on hand to help with any of your holiday planning, nothing is too much trouble but you also have the privacy of your own space and garden to relax and chill out when you want a quieter day. We visited Lucca for the Summer Music Festival, enjoyed a days boat trip along the Cinque Terre, had several drives out into the mountain villages beyond Bagini di Lucca and had good meals in the local ristorante. Pisa, Florence, Sienna and San Gimignano are all within easy distance in fact you will be spoiled for choices in you holiday itinerary. We will definitely be return visitors next time we head for Tuscany!

We stayed here for 5 nights in May/June 2016 and cannot recommend 'Magic Moments' enough. It was the ideal base for exploring the region. Beautiful inside and out. Peaceful, very well equipped and with hosts who went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Highlights were watching the fireflies in the vineyard, using the amazing BBQ area, the beautiful views of the mountains, and the unexpected appetisers and wine on arrival. We hope to return!

A wonderful place to stay!!

My husband and I spent 5 nights at this wonderful place. Carlo and Francesca were awesome host and hostess. The apartment/cottage is in a quiet area with great views of the mountains and vineyards. The home had everything we could ask for and we were treated to some fresh produce and grapes in addition to the welcome "snack". This was a perfect stopping point for many sights of Tuscany. We went to Lucca, Pisa, Volterra and Cinque Terra, each one on a different day and had no problem fitting it into a day trip. We were also honored to have the opportunity to have a cooking class in the cottage which was truely wonderful! The whole family are true ambassadors for Italy! We would recommend this place to everyone we know!

This home is a perfect place to stay with children! We have 2 boys, ages 3 & 7, and after site seeing all day, it was relaxing for us all to come back to this house where the boys could run around and play, while we drank wine and enjoyed the view. The property is private and spacious. It has a play area for the kids to include bikes, play houses, playground, soccer balls, etc., so perfect for kids of various ages. The house itself is very charming and we enjoyed the fireplace each night. The owners are very warm and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. They printed us directions to the train station in Lucca, gave us information on the area and we even got to tour the wine cellar on the property. Wonderful place to stay and a great location! We stayed here and traveled to Pisa, Cinque Terre, Florence and a few smaller villages, but never had to drive more than an hour to each place. Definitely recommend!

Before renting a house for my Tuscany vacations, I studied in detail what area had more interesting and touristic points to visit and what area was closer to all the others Tuscany attractions. After some investigation, I realized that Lucca is the best "base camp" to start any holidays in Tuscany: Lucca is a wonderful city and a must see in any Tuscany tour, and it´s only 20 min away from Pisa, 15 min from Viareggio and 30 min from Firenze. I can´t imagine any better location. What can I say about "Magic moments"?? "Wow!" It´s the only word that we could say at our arrival... The house inside is decorated in full detail in a mix of vintage&Tuscany style. It´s so comfortable and so beautiful that we could have been just there for a weekend doing nothing else than enjoying the house. If you like home interiors and decoration, you´re gonna love this house! But the big "wow" is the outside part of the house: It´s located in a big plot full of vineyards, orchards and green areas. It even has a playground area for the kids. I can´t think of a better location to feel the real Tuscany essence than being surrounded by beautiful vineyards all around. In summary, the house simply exceeded my most demanding dreams. Finally, Carlo and Francesca are simply adorable. They have done a great work at the house, taking care of every single detail. You can notice how important it is for them that you feel great at their house, because they treat you as a real friend from the very first day: They gave us full information of what to do, best places to go, they wellcame us with a fantastic pic-nic, and gave us a fantastic present of vegetables from their orchad. So that, we had delicious salads every night! I even was sad when I had to leave the house for saying goodbye to Carlo&Francesca. They became real friends in only 1 week! Finally, I strongly recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a vacation in Tuscany! - It´s a 10 out of 10!

We stayed at Magic Moment...

We stayed at Magic Moments for 3 months and we loved it. Loved the farm, the apartment and the owners. They made us feel part of the family and went above and beyond for us to have a great stay. The location is very beautiful, I love the area Gattaiola where the house is situated. Many old houses with lots of history. Great restaurants in walking distance. Close to Lucca where we went often for dinners or shopping. Lucca is a beautiful and historic city. It's only a 25 min drive to the ocean at Viareggio. The apartment is very well equipped, and with beautiful interior. In the hot summer months the inside was very cool and nice. We had many lovely dinners out in the garden - so peaceful! Perfect place both for kids and adults! We got to see both the harvest of wine and olives. Their wine is outstanding and so is all the vegetables from their garden. "We stayed in Lucca for 3 days, it was a great time! The house was wonderfull, view was amazing and surroundings were as described - in the middle of vineyards and nature. And still it was very close to the town! Francesca and Carlo were very very nice! They welcomed us really friendly and they gave us small presents when we were leaving. "It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. We were very pleased to use the bicycles, especially as they had small ones for our children to use. Carlo and Francesca were extremely helpful and accomodating. Directions were excellent to get us to the house. We would have liked a maps of mountain, showing walking paths, and the house could use a few more puzzles or indoor games as we had a few days of rain. We'll definately go back!"

La maison de Francesca et de Carlo est très chaleureuse, confortable et bien équipée. Les murs épais protègent de la chaleur et par conséquent la maison reste fraîche. Quand il fait vraiment très chaud, la climatisation est performante. En outre, les deux terrasses offrent une vue magnifique sur la propriété viticole et les montagnes aux alentours. Les levers et couchers de soleil sont vraiment superbes. A cinq minutes en voiture de Lucca, la maison est idéalement située et permet aussi de visiter Florence, Pise, Pietrasanta, Sienne... Sans oublier la côte : Viareggio, Forte Dei Marmi... qui sont à moins d'une demi heure de la maison par l'autoroute. Une localisation exceptionnelle d'autant plus que nous sommes tombés sous le charme de Lucca. La location se trouve au coeur de la propriété viticole des hôtes, ce qui permet de goûter d'excellents crus toscans. Une cave est disponible dans la maison : on peut donc choisir les différents vins de la propriété : vins monocépages, spécialité de la maison (merlot, cabernet, sangiovese...) vieillis dans des petits fûts de châtaignier, mais aussi le rubrum, un très bon vin d'assemblages. Un plaisir pour les papilles et une belle découverte des vins locaux. Enfin, Francesca et Carlo sont des hôtes attentifs et prévenants. qui sont toujours prêts à faire de petits gestes pour faire plaisir à leurs locataires. Nous avons vraiment apprécié la petite collation pour nous souhaiter la bienvenue, les brioches au chocolat toutes fraîches et les légumes du jardin. Tout en restant discrets pour respecter l'intimité des locataires, Francesca et Carlo sont très prévenants et font tout leur possible pour que leurs hôtes passent un excellent séjour. En conclusion, nous avons vraiment apprécié ce séjour et pensons revenir chez Francesca et Carlo s'ils veulent bien de nous !!!

C'est la 5 x fois que nous revenons à Magic moments chez Francesca et Carlo car l'endroit est vraiment des plus agréables et ce couple d'une gentillesse extrême. Que dire de plus qui n'ait pas été dit par les autres, le lieu est super pour aller visiter la belle ville de Lucca et aussi se rendre au bord de la mer. L'endroit est facile d'accès et l'appartement a toutes les commodités nécessaires. Nous qui avons un chien, il peut être dehors sans déranger le voisinage. Au plaisir de vous revoir, les suisses du nord vaudois.

Come ogni anno, siamo andati a Lucca per i Comica e, come ogni anno, siamo venuti qui. La casa è magnifica, pulitissima e dotata di ogni confort. Come sempre, abbiamo trovato la cucina ad attenderci la calorosa accoglienza dei proprietari, che ci hanno fatto sentire a casa. E poi hanno un vino meraviglioso, anche quest'anno siamo andati via con una buona scorta di bottiglie, per ricordarci di Lucca :) Consigliatissima

Wir (Familie mit 2 Kindern 2,5 und 4,5 Jahre) haben im August 2015 zwei Wochen Urlaub in der Ferienwohnung „Magic Moments“ gemacht. Es war toll und wir haben uns allesamt wohlgefühlt. Es handelt sich um eine tolle Wohnung die wirklich komplett ausgestattet ist – hier fehlte nichts. Und es war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Unsere Kinder hatten viel Platz um im Garten und vor allem in der Spielecke zu spielen und auch im Haus selbst gab es genügend Platz. Da konnte man auch als Eltern mal gemütlich auf der Terrasse sitzen und ein Gläschen Wein trinken – der geht hier übrigens nie aus! ;-) Die Wohnung besteht aus einem kleinen Bad mit Dusche, Waschbecken, WC und Waschmaschine. Nicht riesig – aber vollkommen ausreichend. Der Wohn-Ess-Raum ist sehr großzügig mit einem riesengroßen Tisch. Die Küche ist nicht allzu groß – aber für den Urlaub vollkommen ausreichend und es hat alles da was man zum lecker kochen braucht. Eine Spülmaschine ist vorhanden und ein geräumiger Kühlschrank plus große Gefrierfächer ebenso (die wir außer für die Kühlakkus für die Strand-Kühltasche jedoch nie genutzt haben). Im Elternschlafzimmer stand zusätzlich ein Kinder-Reisebett. Wir hatten die beiden Reisebetten unserer Kinder jedoch im Kinderzimmer untergebracht – das hat platzmäßig gepasst. Die Wohnung hat zwei Terrassen. Die kleinere war immer unsere Frühstücksterrasse. Auf der größeren Terrasse haben wir zu Abend gegessen. Wir haben sogar einmal den Pizzaofen im Garten angeworfen. Das hat sich echt gelohnt – die Pizza hat wirklich nach „Italien“ geschmeckt **grins** Das Haus befindet sich neben den Weinstöcken und man sitz mitten im Grünen (mit Blick auf Olivenbaum und Weinreben). Die Vermieter (wohnen selber direkt über der Wohnung) sprechen italienisch und etwas englisch. Für die Verständigung reicht es vollkommen aus. Sie sind sehr freundlich und haben uns mit Obst und Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten verwöhnt. Wir haben sehr viele Ausflüge (Höhle, Pisa, Livorno, …) unternommen. Zu unserem Lieblingsstrand waren es ca. 40 Minuten Fahrzeit. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und der Abschied viel uns schwer! Ein toller Urlaub den wir hier verbringen durften. PS: Die Ausstattung für unsere Kids (Reisebett) haben wir selbst mitgebracht. Ist jedoch auch vor Ort vorhanden

C'est avec beaucoup de bonheur que toute la famille a passé 2 semaines dans le gîte de Francesca et Carlo. Le gîte est conforme à l'annonce du site internet, propre et équipé de tout le confort souhaité. L'accès gratuit à Internet est appréciable et fonctionne très bien. Le gîte est idéalement situé pour découvrir le Nord de la Toscane (la charmante ville de Lucca, Florence, Sienne, Pise, Volterra, Carrare, le Parc National des Cinque Terre, etc ). Mais les moments passé sur place deviennent magiques grâce à Carlo et Francesca et leur famille : La collation d'arrivée a été très appréciée après une longue route ! Les fruits et légumes et le vin de la propriété sont délicieux. Nos enfants de 4 et 9 ans ont beaucoup apprécié les jeux et les vélos mis à disposition gracieusement sur place, les grands espaces autour du gîte et les moments passés en compagnie de Carlo et de son frère ! Accueil chaleureux à l'arrivée et documentation disponible sur place. Les propriétaires sont présents et disponibles tout en étant discrets. Une maison bien équipée avec un grand jardin comprenant différentes terrasses ainsi qu'une installation de jeux variés pour enfants. Bel environnement au milieu des vignobles à 3 km de Lucca : charmante ville à taille humaine, piétonne. Possibilité de louer des vélos pour faire le tour des remparts. Plage à Viareggio à moins de 40 min. Nous recommandons cette destination pour au moins une semaine (pour notre part 11 jours sur place).

This wonderful house is very close to the centre but in a very calm place far from the crowds. The owners are wonderful people and provide everything you need for a a perfect stay. We definitely had a magical experience in this house! It is very close to the historic centre and you can also visit Pisa and Florence easily for daily trips... Moreover, we had the opportunity to have nice walks around, in the nature. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, but they also assure your privacy. The house is wonderful with a nice fireplace! We enjoyed delicious wine of their own production in front of the fire. That was definitely a wonderful autumn holiday for us...Thanks for everything dear Francesca and Carlo...

Ormai è il terzo anno che io e i miei amici veniamo qui per i Comics ed è un po' come essere a casa. L'appartamento è bello, pulitissimo e ben attrezzato: c'è praticamente tutto, dalla macchina del caffè americano al bollitore, dalla lavastoviglie (con pastiglie!) all'asciugacapelli. La posizione è perfetta, vicinissima a Lucca ma lontana dalla calca. In ogni modo, al centro città ci si arriva in 5 minuti di macchina o in bici. Poi, per chi viene in estate, c'è un giardino splendido e un barbecue in muratura. I proprietari sono molto gentili e disponibili e ti fanno davvero sentire a casa. Insomma, posto straconsgliato!

A magical place in the heart of Tuscany!

This is definitely one of the best places that you can stay in Tuscany. Francesca and Carlo are very friendly and welcoming. The place is wonderful with a huge vineyard, wonderful garden and, a pizza oven and barbecue outside. The house is very clean and well-equipped (actually there is much more than you need). There is also a dvd collection and a small library... We had one of our best holidays. Definitely recommended!
