The view from the room was amazing. All other aspects just terrible.

Arrived late. Couldn't get into our room. Very difficult to find the location. When we arrived no one was there. We called 5 times trying to get into our room. No answer. While looking for a number to call, we found less than positive reviews on other websites. We had to find another room late at night because we would not be able to check in until 1500. I am attaching the other reviews. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

We arrived and there was not electricity, so, we had to wait in the dankness until someone come back and active it from the central controllers. It was SUPER COLD and wet in the room, and we patiently wait 2hs until it "gets warm" but it never did because they had 2 tinny electric heaters for a big and cold room. We called 3 times the number that was indicated in the reception to be called in case of problems, but he said to us (3 times) that he couldn't do ANYTHING for us. It was impossible to sleep in that illegal's temperatures conditions, so we leave the key in the "empty" reception without someone there during the whole time and we had to look for another hotel that night. We never sleep there. We come back the next day to ask for a refund, and he agreed but he told us that we need to contact Expedia for this.

We travelled in low season and the price/quality was fine, but if you book here you should understand it is not perfectly maintained and it has it's quirks. Definitely try to book seaside view as you otherwise might be disappointed with the place.

Even if the furniture & decoration is a bit "old style", location is perfect (in the center, beach front, everything walking distance). Excellent value for money, apartment with living room, bedroom & kitchen, possibility to store luggage in case you arrive earlier or live later. Will definitely stay there again!

The room was spacious and set out with a longe area and Separate bedroom. It also included a fridge, cooker & Microwave. There was a drop off area for us to unload our gear and then It was a five minute walk to the car park which was free. We had an excellent meal at the Yacht Club which was where tha car was parked and a really superb meal at a restaurant just round the corner (2 minutes away). It was a 10 minute walk to the station where a train trip to Bruge was only 5 Euros return. We actually returned to Oostende on the same ticket and then took a tram back to Blankenberge for 3 Euros. All in all an excellent situation. We will be going back to the Apathotel.

You are literally right on the beach. Get a room facing the sea the view is amazing at night. The hotel is a 2 star hotel but the location and view is 5 stars. My two biggest complaints are the parking and the lack of a fan in the room. We were on the 12th floor and it was ver hot even with the sliding door open.

Modern block, quite plain inside but nice room, with veranda, we paid extra for sea view. Kitchenette and dining area so we walked down to nearby supermarket and got our own breakfast. you can eat in at 10euro each. Windows open right up with 10 floor drop so not so good for small kids. Blankenburgh very nice, cheap train or bus to Bruge.

Internet didn't work and staff claimed it did. They were very rude. Room is only cleaned every other day. Also reception is open very limited hours which at times was difficult. Room was average. Carpet was dirty and room very outdated.

Great location on the beach. No parking at the hotel, and it took 15 minutes to find a spot. Breakfast is expensive, 10 Euro each, so we went around the corner to a bread store and fed 5 for 7 Euro. Rooms were ok, but nothing great.

Breakfast has to be booked and is 10 Euros each so we just went to the bakery each morning for fresh croissants etc. Reception is manned in the morning and the afternoon. Parking is an issue and I highly recommend parking at the train station car park. It is a 10-15 minute walk and I had to do this each morning to replace the ticket. 10 Euro's per day. I used the walk back to visit the bakery. There are nearer car parks but the market one can't be used on Friday and Monday and the one at the harbour had an event for two days so I had to move the car again. Blankenburge is a great place with lots of good restaurants. We took a train to Brugge for 6 Euro's each return. One stop and Blankenburge is the end of the line when coming back.

We were only in the area for one night visiting Brugge and looking for a reasonably priced hotel nearby. This did the trick and was much cheaper than anything in Brugge. This was an apartment style hotel so nothing fancy but practical. We checked in after the reception had closed since it's not a 24 hour staffed hotel and when we called the check in number the night staff was prompt on getting us our key. In addition to this they had left a voice message with instructions to retrieve the keys after hours. Be prepared for this as I was not aware the reception was not staffed 24 hours so was a little concerned when I arrived but it worked out ok. Hotel is right on the beach front so very conveniently located.

Good price, good location. Great friendly guy on reception. A good budget hotel to spend a few days, with many good restaurants close at hand. Fantastic beach on the doorstep and Bruges less than 10 miles away.

The room was ok. Could be updated. It had a small kitchenette, but we didn't use it (we just stayed 1 night,) great view of the water, but the bathroom left some to be desired- small shower, towelrack falling off the wall, and if you more than 6' tall you'd bump your head on the hot water heater when you stood up from the toilet! Not a bad place if you're not in the room long!

This is not a full-service hotel, as only some of the apartments in this building are hotel rooms, others are either longterm rentals or owner-occupied. Nevertheless, the place was good value, with great views, many excellent restaurants and bars close by. The staff is extremely friendly and the place was spotless. I would return any time . . .

Tyipical summer appartment with everything you need for a week by the beach. It is in front of the beach and has all the amenities you need (tv, fridge, kitchen, clean bathrooms). No luxe at all. It's all functionality and great price and it's very near Brugge. You have to have a car.
