The best hotel in Blankenberge that never disappoints

Staff attentive to the smallest details, cleanliness, comfort, close to anything- bars, beach, tram, sport facilities. Breakfast at 20 euros is highly recommended. It’s super value for what you are paying for.

In the pool there is a bit too much chlorine.

Just personal, nothing to do with the hotel. But good for young people. Lot of bar on seaside, music is loud, but that's normal. We had a room with courtyard view, no noise at all. 😀

Relaxing and quality hotel

This place is highly recommended and exceeded my initial impressions. Starting with the communication with the hotel after booking was quick and comprehensive. Parking availability was informed well in advance. The staff speaks English and is highly supportive. Rooms are immaculate with neatness, cleanliness and quality of all switches as well as electronics. 2 huge 55+ inch TVs in my suite were highly enjoyable. The bathtub in the living room in front of the TV was relaxing! The toiletries in the bathroom smell nice and have a fresh rejuvenating aroma. Me and my fellow travelers found this hotel relaxing and pleasurable. A bag of cookies while checking out was a delicious surprise!

False advertising

I am very dissapointed at the description of a room with a hot tub this implies a balcony with a hot tub where you could fit a couple of people with bathing suites instead a bath with jets for one in the room. Bought for a family members 60th who had never experienced a hot tub only to find a large bath on plinth. I had complained but was offered no compensation for this room even though I had booked 3 rooms with them.

nice hotel with a beautiful dining area, but bathrooms are getting old.

you see rusty elements everywhere . it kills luxury effects. staff is friendly and speak different languages. very helpful . while they offer spa facilities, you don’t have bathrobes and sleepers available in the room. you need to request/pay extra if you wish to use it. when staying on top floor, there is an issue with water pressure. rather annoying when you want to wash off shampoo from your hair

The hotel is very well situated right on the boardwalk and next to nice restaurants and bars, walking distance from the train station and shopping streets.You have a minigolf park and the leisure port just behind the hotel.The hotel.itself is very beautiful and well kept.The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds.Bathroom is big too with a tub and shower, basic but good care products.The swimmingpool is very nice with really lovely warm water and lounge chairs, there also is a jacuzzi and the whole spa area is clean.Extremely friendly and professional staff.You can leave your luggage after you check-out.The breakfast is excellent, a very complete choice of good products, the little bread rolls and pastry are delicious and fresh from the bakery shop, you have a hot and cold assortment with smoked salmon, eggs, bacon, cheeses, sweet and savoury and even some bubbles à gogo.The dining room is beautiful with a beautiful view of the beach.

View was nice and staff friendly.

List is endless. The hotel is very much a has-been place: needs a full refurbishing face-lift and for what they charge as a supposed 4-stars hotel is shameful. We would give it a maximum of two stars. Apart from the entrance door and the reception desk of the Epoque, nothing else is worth it. The rooms/ bathroom are stuck in the 80s with the wallpaper peeling and cracks in the walls. As for the bathroom, not at all easy access and can be dangerous with nothing to grab on to. The Hotel boasts about its SPA and swimming pool. Now that we have been there, we are certain their pictures on their website must be photoshopped. In reality, both are poky dark and the pool is lit up with green light. We wonder why? Also, the smell of the chlorine is very strong and not pleasurable at all - we poked our heads in there and run a mile. The breakfast room was nice and large. Nevertheless, in these COVID times and with so many people staying at the hotel, the buffet area should be better organised to avoid people bumping into each other. This could be very easily implemented for there is no lack of space. Last but not least, for such a large hotel, their elevators are very slow and one was not functioning. No one thought to put a sign up on the elevator informing guests to avoid it!

Do not book here. Rude and unprofessional guy at reception. Loud noises from room next to us which was only separated by an internal door (instead of a full wall) so you could hear everything all night long as if you were standing next to the other people. Guy at reception would not even record our complaint about this. Worst thing: we e-mailed the hotel about this issue and other issues afterwards (with several reminders) and never got any answer. Extremely unprofessional for any hotel, let alone a 4 star hotel. Very disappointed

The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. The staff is super friendly and nice. The basement parking is really a big help as looking for a parking space around the hotel is very difficult. And the hotel has good location and view to the sea.

Unbeatable sea view!!!

What an amazing sea view! Weather was stormy, giving an extra dramatic sensation and a feeling of being on a ship! Breakfast and coffee were great, delivered along with expensive cutlery adding to the.."Royal" hotel name and feeling! Very clean room and very friendly staff. The pool was warm at an ideal temperature and loved the jacuzzi. Booked a parking space at an extra cost, which very convinient. Location offers direct access to the beach and the lovely city streets of Blankenberge which is really worth exploring!

The room with sea view is wonderful! The furniture even allows for a great dinner with same amazing sea view. The meal we ordered was absolutely delicious (one course though) This is a smart alternative to all closed restaurants in a difficult Covid time!

No breakfast option! I would expect a better low season price, or at least with breakfast included! If the hotel can deliver a great meal in the evening, a breakfast should not be a challenge!
