Central location above the main railway station. Close enough to seafront for an easy walk.
Felt like the poor relation of the hotel next door (mercure). No staff on reception at 4pm just a note giving instructions to check in at the hotel next door. No staff presence at all.

Well located in the center of Blakenberge (the establishment's greatest and sole virtue).
This was the worst IBIS Budget we stayed in. Whenever we stay just one night in a place we visit, we choose this hotel chain for its value for money, as we only want to sleep in a hotel, but there are minimal expectations, though. In this case, when we arrived we found that we had to go to the hotel next door (Mercure) to be attended to, as there was no one at reception desk. The first room we were allocated had stained sheets, which meant we had to be allocated another room at our request. (we had to go again to the other hotel for that). The breakfast was minimalist for the amount charged and the staff cold (in true Flanders fashion). In short, a budget hotel in the literal sense of the word.

The breakfast was very good and there was a variety of choices.

the breakfast
the place is not nice for the family. Is just a room to stay alone if you go for work or visit one day

Location next to the train station, the centre, the beach stores and restaurants
Too small rooms , room with extra bed there’s no space to walk when all beds are set !
Too small bathroom, no hot water machine or coffee machine.

Just location
The bed feels like had sand on it. The bedsheets didn’t places well. And in the site of booking says have pool but it’s not there own plus we still need to pay.

The location was very good. Parking easy and accessible. The staff onsite, was friendly and helpful. We did not have the breakfast and therefore cannot comment.
The room size was smaller than I expected and with a toddler was a challenge. The main bed was comfortable however the pullout bed was uncomfortable (as an adult). The air-conditioner worked well on arrival however stopped working during the course of the night - resulting disrupted sleep. It did start working again after we turned it off and on therefore the staff were not informed at the time.

i am still alive.
is the hotel working? i am waiting for a response for 9 days, how hard can it be?
far as i know, service is a solution to the client's problem before it manifests itself, the act of servicing someone in various areas of everyday life (for example, hotel service, car service, and so on).
have i get any service by this hotel? no. they know my name, but not only are not using it, when speak to me, they ignore my questions and necessities, and ask me the name of a hotel worker... how are you planning to have a name and getting new clients if you treat them like this. i have stayed in the hotel for 1 night, but they took the money for 3 nights. and why they are not giving it back? the answer that i"we got from booking is because they dont wont to. first, at the desk, they said that they have no problem with it and it depends on the booking company. but later they changed their mind.
let me tell you something that you should know: the client is always right. thats why he is the client. if you think that you can choose instead of him and bring him problems and inconvenience, he is no longer your client. he pays the bill, he pays the tips, he pays the taxes and off course, he pays your salary. that is why a client should be treated like a king. then, he would be glad to come again to your place. if your werent told this at the faculty of hotel and restaurant business in your university, if you had been at one, of course, you should probably demand the tution fees back.
how do yo treat your clients? like nameless, unimportant, annoying subhumans without rights.
i will avoid this place, and not only in Belgium. if your goal was to spoil somebody's weekend, than you succeded at it.

We booked a hotel with swimming pool and it surprised me that the swimming pool was in the hotel next to mine and we had to pay extra for the use of the pool .

it was near calais - we slept the night before our eurotunnel travel.
confusing entrance as its reception is also linked to another hotel but the receptionist was very helpful.

The location was good
We had to check in somewhere else that was very confusing, and we were giving a code for the hotel, elevator, stairs and room, for the older generation this is not easy.
The room was very small, we stayed in other ibis hotels and this one looked like it seen better times.
It was clean but we could see that it was just changing the bed sheets, bathrooms and that's it, it was dusty.
The breakfast was nice but we walked downstairs twice and there was no room so we had to wait.

The breakfast was fantastic and value of my money. The staffs were friendly. The location is very easy to locate,no stress to find, close to the train station and easily accessible to the shopping street. Calm environment and clean too. Commuting to other interesting places is very easy with public transport. I will like to visit again.
I found room to be too small for 3. I think there should be 2 stools instead of 1. My opinion though.
