Subject: Complaint Regarding Disturbance During Stay – 4th–5th October Dear Village Hotel Bury Team, I’m writing to raise a formal complaint about my stay at your hotel on the night of 4th–5th October. Throughout the night, there was loud music, shouting, and arguments continuing until around 2:30 a.m., along with things being thrown around in nearby rooms. It was impossible to get any proper rest. I chose Village over Premier Inn expecting a higher standard and a comfortable night’s stay, but I’m genuinely appalled by the level of noise and the lack of control over guest behaviour. I spent more for what I thought would be a quality experience, yet it turned out to be far worse than budget accommodation. I’d appreciate it if you could look into this matter and let me know what steps will be taken to address it, as well as whether any form of compensation will be offered for such a disrupted stay.

Very disappointing stay considering the cost. We booked 2 x rooms for family. The cleanliness was very poor/the rooms are dated/electric cables showing from the radiator/cooler which didn’t work properly. No ac. They have Dyson fans which barely had any air coming from them. The food in the restaurant was extremely expensive for what was served. Very bland. The staff were good in reception and bars. A few drunk customers made it a bad atmosphere. The breakfast was very bland and not much variety. It’s a nice looking building from the outside but the inside is tired and in need of some serious TLC

Room was adequate, the blind was broken upon arrival, the shower was weak and the heat control was poor (was to cold). When trying to order my evening meal the QR code link to ordr food did not work, this caused the bar team to be overwhelmed...

The whole experience was very good from checking in to leaving all the staff that we dealt with were very helpful we had a double room which was very large and clean the breakfast had plenty of choice and the pool and facilities were excellent i would have no problem recommending this hotel a very good hotel at a good price

A great hotel, felt like they could have charged allot more as other hotels in the area were more than double so didn’t expect much, was pleasantly surprised, wouldn’t rate the breakfast but we found a small bite to eat. Was unable to attend due to parents ill health. I was unable to receive a refund with 4 weeks prior notice and unable to change dates. Requested an additional £280 to change the date. Raised a complaint and received no communication back.

This is a nice looking location with plenty of parking and the beds were comfy, it not a little hot, most of the staff were pleasant and the breakfast was fine. However there were quite a few issues which means I'd be reticent to return here. When I turned up there was an event going on, it was very busy and there were no obvious staff at the entrance and I couldn't figure out how to book in, which you have to do yourself, I eventually figured out how to on the ipad on my own even though the on screen instructions were wrong (where to place the keycard to program it) The free standing main light in the room was broken, unplugged and leaning against a scuffed wall, there was no ceiling lighting, just a bedside lamp which wasn't enough to work by. After a shower I realized the extractor didn't work so the bathroom didn't dry and it made the entire room feel damp, I kept the windows open to get some air in the room as there was no air conditioning or apparent source of other fresh air / circulation. I stayed on the 2nd floor and could clearly hear the music from a disco or event which was taking place somewhere below, making it hard to sleep until it calmed down sometime around midnight. One of the younger male staff members obviously didn't want to be there. When I booked out I did find someone at the reception table and told them about the room issues and they said they'd report them to maintenance, but by then it was a bit too late.

I stay in the The Village hotels a lot and usually no problems These 2 days were the hottest of the year and temperature in the room was 35+ degrees. The Dyson fan made a noise so thought working but after 2 days realised it actually wasn't. A relaxing get away turned into me feeling like I was roasted alive. I wouldn't of put my dog in there, seriously. Played havoc with my asthma and windows only opened a couple of inches for air circulation. At checkout I informed staff and received a mere sorry about that! £170 for horrendous restbite . I booked 1 day pass for the gym and charged for the 2 days again no offer of refund. I now wonder how many other times this has happened? daseriously.
