We booked the standard triple. 1 king and one double. Very clean, nice hot shower, lots of outlets. Smallish but very comfortable. Picture is night view from our 4th floor balcony. Note that smoking isnt allowed on balcony, but they provide a very nice little smoking nook outside. I don't smoke but my 2 smoker companions said it was great. Located at the end of a short Soi just inside Thapae gate, the location couldn't be better. Surprisingly quiet and peaceful, as the Sunday night market is right at the the end of the Soi (and runs for seemingly miles). The pool isnt huge but perfect for a cooling dip. Breakfast is included and was very nice with varieties of food. Snacks and free water are available in lobby 24/7. The staff was the highlight, to be honest. Super friendly and efficient with well spoken English. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay. POR will probably become our go-to hotel for old town. Our thanks to them for making our stay so welcoming.

Hotel is in a very good location, very near the East gate which is one of the tourist spots. Hotel is very well run and managed. Very impressive that it has ample spread for breakfast. Also, some of the leftover dishes are left in the pantry so one can always help himself to them. Coffee is also readily available whole day. Staff are young but very polite and friendly. However, the main issue is the hotel is a small setup. Space is quite cramped - at the breakfast area, the tables, the hotel reception, even the guest rooms. Still, I won't mind coming back to this hotel again should I need to be in Chiang Mai.

Stayed with POR Thapae Gate on our anniversary holiday to Chiang Mai and it was the best decision. The hotel is in a rather private alley, and while it is not large, it had all the necessary facilities. There is a lovely pool and lobby area for a hearty spread of breakfast. The cosy lobby was also perfect for hanging out and playing with the cute cats they have. The staff were very helpful and had a great grasp of English. They had prepared a surprise gift for our anniversary which was a very sweet touch. The hotel room was also spacious and clean, with a water dispenser outside for cold/hot water. It was a perfect stay, would love to come back!

The place was perfect except for the bed that made squeaky sound. It’s only noisy when getting on of off the bed. The place is hidden in an alley which is away from the noise. Free fruits and drinking water was a win.
