    We stayed at this hotel for just one night whilst on a cruise around Japan. The taxi driver had difficulty locating it so the signage could be improved but, apart from that, the location in the Gion District was great and very convenient for all the nearby sights. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We only saw the receptionist but he was polite. We would definitely recommend this hotel but be prepared for a search to find it!

    Double booked us and sent us to their second location which was further from downtown, breakfast stops at 10 but do not tell you that you can’t enter after 9. Amenities are in lobby and you have to check out by 10am. Also do not provide water in rooms.

    Great location overall, however the room was incredibly dusty. As soon as we got off the elevator we noticed a considerable amount of dust on the walls, and the room immediately gave us the same impression, as if no one had stayed there in weeks. If not for this our cleanliness rating would have been much higher.
