    Request a room with a view of river. It is worth the upgrade. Breakfast was great. Room was spacious, spotless, modern, and comfortable. Love the automated toilet. Toilet and bathing are separate which is big plus. Onsen was nice. When I went only 2/3 ppl max were using the facilities. Not crowded. Overall, very nice stat. My teenage son liked it too. Very quiet hotel. Many of the guests were Japanese. Not just foreigners stay here. I didn’t see very many small children which is a plus.

    Great time at this hotel during my 4 days trip in Kyoto. Location is excellent. Hotel hot bath and amenities are great. Wish to see more attentive staff around the lobby to provide service would be a plus!!

    Googleレビュー向けに少し簡潔で、でも率直な内容ならこちらがおすすめです。 The hotel was acceptable, but I would not particularly recommend it and would not choose to stay here again. The biggest disappointment was the service. Although the staff were polite, their interactions felt very mechanical and lacked warmth or genuine hospitality. I also encountered a guest using the public bath while wearing a swimsuit. When I reported this to the staff, I was told that guests are informed of the rules at check-in, but some do not follow them. While I understand that enforcing rules can be difficult, I expected the hotel to take a more proactive approach, such as increasing inspections or having staff check the bath area more regularly. The response felt passive and somewhat inexperienced. The hotel itself was clean and reasonably well maintained, which was a positive. However, the overall experience did not leave a strong enough impression for me to return.
